More Proof Crash Bandicoot Is Coming to Sony

The rumors for Crash Bandicoot returning to Sony are heating up; for those not in the know, the brand is currently owned by Activision.

The official Crash Bandicoot website, owned and operated by Activision (duh) has been taken down; the last archived version goes back to Summer, which is when the rumors of Sony acquiring the brand started popping up again.

Even more interestingly, all references to Crash Bandicoot, the brand, logo, games, services, forums, everything- are gone from Activision's website.

Previously, links to their licensed Crash games were available. Also, their support pages no longer offer support for Crash: Mind Over Mutant (the last game released), or their iOS kart racers.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Crash Bandicoot may be returning to PlayStation exclusively. And if Naughty Dog developed it.... hnnnnnnnnnnngh

well, I thought I was gonna beat Suikoden II this Thanksgiving but I'm starting to feel like playing the first 3 Crash games instead since I could never beat any of them.

The first one didn't age all that well (and to be honest, was quite mediocre even in its time). The second holds up much better though, I'd recommend starting from that one.

I'm srs though, always favored Crash over Mario. And I love (the old) Mario.

I guess. My first experience with Crash was the first game (which I played after Mario 64), and I hated that, so it left kind of a bad taste in my mouth. I did like the second game a lot though.

Understand, Mario 64 is incredible and no doubt it's better than the first crash bandicoot. Although the second and third are great.

Also CTR is the best karting game to date imo.

Crash Team Racing was (stilll is) amazing.

I loved crash team racing. The best social game at the time. 4 player tournaments ftw!!

That's the same for those who started with Crash 1 and played M64 later as well. In NA of course but you get the point.

Also, ACTIVISION LOCKED THEIR IPS AND ALL GAMES BEFORE 2009 WERE ALREADY GONE LAST MONTH. THERE IS NO CHANGE IN IP OR TRADEMRK HANDELING WHICH IS REQUIRED BY LAW AND ACTV MADE A SECURITY INTEREST CLAIM ONLY AROUND A MONTH AGO.IN OCTOBER!.

If ND doesn't make it, I hope Sony keeps it away from Cerny.

If Naughty Dogs now have 3 teams within them i can see the 3rd team working on Crash while the 1st and 2nd teams work on Last of Us and Uncharted franchises.

I need to hunt that game down, I have heard nothing but good things about it. Is it on PS Classics?

Never was a Crash fan (or even Playstation for that matter). Rocked Mario and Banjo back then, Mario today is even platforming perfected with 3D World. The Crash franchise would be in much better hands, who would develop it for Sony?

Sony can't compete with Nintendo in their own field. EAD Tokyo are the platforming gods. So much in fact, Crash would be in better hands if they developed it. Most of the Crash guys from Naughty Dog are gone, mostly left with the gritty Uncharted and Last of Us developers.

More proofs......Sony's pulling crash out of the garbage pit that is activision!!! I seriously can't wait.

They finally have a real mascot that people actually like and care about. They can hype the crap out of him and use him to push so many consoles.

lf l was sony ld start on a new platformer, have ND make it with another studio to help them out. Make crash team racing 2 and crash bash 2.

Screw it, why not? A new Crash Banicoot game can't be as bad as Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind over Mutant.
