More PS3 exclusives in 2011 than even before ?

resistance 3, LBP2, uncharted 3, killzone 3, infamous 2, socom, the last guardian, motor storm apocalypse, twisted metal, and more i might be forgetting, and xbox 360 only has gears of war 3 and forza 4 ? what gives ?

i am not creating this thread with the intention of creating a console war, so please refrain from the hate, i love my 2 consoles equally just like i love kung pao chicken and kung pao shrimp equally.

i just think this is a very interesting statistic, and hasnt been pointed out in the media yet, from a business stand point i think both sony and microsoft have got it totally wrong, 2 is tiny number and 8 is insane, why cant we meet in the middle ? does sony really think they can profit by pulling out all the big guns the same year when highly anticipated multi platform games like elder scrolls 5, rage, and mass effect 3 are also scheduled ? and i am not even going to mention the 800 lb gorilla that is not revealed yet that is the next COD game. even if they spread out the releases for these games they are not going to sell as many copies as they would if they divided 8 by 2 and pushed 4 into 2012.

as a gamer who makes a decent living i am not complaining, depending on the reviews i might end up buying all those games, but if i was calling the shots at the sony offices, i would push twisted metal, uncharted 3 to 2012. JMO.

Yowza. Time to start donating plasma again. Q1 and 2 are stacked as hell just by themselves. Very glad I picked up my Move when I did too because I keep reading about more and more games supporting it.

Given the recore, R&C, R3, UC3, I2, and Motorstorm: Apocolypse are basically guarantee releases of 2011. LBP2 is another guarantee. The only games i can see that might possibly see the GT5 syndrome is: The Last Guardian, FFXIIIvs, and Twisted Metal (and that is a big maybe).

Five exclusives set for 2011 and one 'TBA' (360 retail only).

no offense, but leaving gears 3 and forza 4 aside, none of the games on that list even hold a candle to the juggernaut ps3 line up.

My wallet is going to be hurting in 2011 between the ps3 and pc.

It will be a great year for PS3 exclusives, but really, you can enjoy 2011 just as much with a 360. With some amazing looking multiplats like Mass Effect 3, TESV, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Crysis 2, everybody should enjoy next year.

i can see that happening to "the last guardian" and "twisted metal", none of the other studios have any history for delaying games, regardless imo if it happens its good for the gamers and the industry, that was my whole argument with this thread, few surveys done for 2009 /2010 show that majority of 360 and some ps3 gamers solely played MW2 for the entirety of 2010, thats just pathetic, now when activision releases the next sequel its going to dominate 2011 holidays, thus draining the market even more, in all fairness that game should just become subscription based service like WOW, its not fair other game developers in this economic climate with studios shutting down left and right, imo that game is killing the creativity in console gaming.

I doubt every single PS3 exclusive next year is gonna get AAA.
