More Than 500 Developers Are Working on the PS4

An updated press release published by Sony has revealed that a whopping 505 developers are currently actively producing or planning content for the next generation console. Thats an enormous increase over the 126 studios revealed in February.

The press release adds that the platform holder itself is working on 30 new experiences, 20 of which are set to release within the consoles first year on the market. Were confident that that figure was included to belittle Microsoft's 15 exclusive promise.

Still, its nice to know that developers are adopting the system in their droves. Weve yet to see much of the PS4s lineup beyond the obvious launch window hits, but we suspect that both GamesCom and Tokyo Game Show later in the year will bring plenty more news.

PS4 continues to dominate, at this rate I have no doubt the PS4 will become the best console in gaming history.
Also I can't wait what exclusives Sony has in store for us, so far i'm loving the exclusives.

With the PS4, it's plug and play. Just a couple steps and BOOM! your ready to go. None of us have seen PS4 mulitplats yet in person. I think they will be pretty good, but enthusiasts will most likely use their PC to play them.

I think a few of the japanese third party developers listed there might actually on ps4 exclusives. Level 5 for example is almost certainly working on ps4 exclusives since I dont think they have ever released a game for the xbox but I might be wrong.

Where are the 700 Xbox studio developers? That i hear so much about:?

That's just it. Most people don't want to figure out how something has to work, they just want it to work. Some people have a beefy PC, but wish they could hook it up to a TV and a reciever but either, don't own a big TV or are too lazy to do it.

Also a PC can be as easy to hook up as a PS4 if you want it to be. both have HDMI, you plug in and you're golden.
