Another third party has signed up to work on the Wii. This time it is Keen Games. Up till 2005 they were Neon Studio. Now this isn't some new developer either according to GameDaily they have been operating for the past 15 years. Unfortuantly I was only able to find a couple games that Gamefaqs has listed that they have made. The most recent one being Legend of Kay for the PS2. They have said that their game will arrive in late 2008.

For info on Legend Of Kay

http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/thelegendofkay/index.html?q=Legend%20of%20Kay

http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/news/?id=15252

http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/44059.html

It is good to see more developers getting on board for the Wii. In the end this can mean only good things for Wii owners.

Good to see this sort of stuff. Initially Wii had the same 3rd party support as GC did, now things are ramping up slowly. Hopefully by E3 it should be significantly bigger.

One thing I have noticed is smaller studios saying they are going to support the platform. Makes sense seeing as it is a lot cheaper to produce a title for the Wii than for the PS3 or 360.

I already read in a magazine somewhere that a employee of the developer who is developing Sadness (forgot the name) that they wanted to do it on the X360 and PS3 also but as a start-up, they just can't afford it. If they develop the game on the X360 and especially the PS3, their whole "kitten-kabodle" so to speak will riding on that one game. If it flops, then their whole company goes down with it. So their only option left is the Wii.

Back on track. Good news! The more the merrier they always say. This can be nothing but good news for the Wii. Lack of third-party support is what killed the NGC last time around. Now let's see what games these guys have up their sleeves.

How do you figure? The Gamecube had 3 games at launch. The Wii had nearly 10 times that much. I would say that the Wii 3rd party support has made the gamecube look like a complete and utter failure. That said, Nintendo has clearly learned from their mistakes.

I dunno, GC had Factor 5, Silicon Knights (unlike wii) along with Sega, EA, Activision and Capcom.
But Wii is getting stronger support from EA, Konami, smaller devs (Nibris, Crossbeam) and now even Rockstar. But people underestimate that GC still has SOME 3rd party support at one point in its life.

Gamecube had 19 games at launch your mistaken. Three of the games I bought at launch were Luigi's Mansion, Tonk Hawk 3, and Rogue Squadron 2. There was Madden and many more at Gamecube launch.

Agreed. Though, Sony can have Factor 5, as far as I'm concerned. Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike was a ridiculously terrible game.

That sucks.   Too bad Nintendo can't give them like a loan or some help.

A loan to develop on the 360/PS3 instead of on their console?
