Mortal Kombat needs a hype cycle chart like Sonic. I don't know how many times a new MK game was releasing and people get excited just to find out the game is mediocre at best. I really believe MK's style of gameplay is the problem. It's too slow and choppy, which was fine in the past because it was different and had gore to make up for it but gore is standard now and choppy gameplay in a fighter is just not that fun. I am hoping for the best as a fighter fan but I think this might be another let down like MK vs. DC.Javy03
Have you even seen the gameplay? The game is not slow-paced, it doesn't look as fast as UMK3 but it still looks fast.

Taking gore out of a game like MK is like taking away weapons and swords in SC. As a matter of fact, most reviewers stated that MK vs DC was a great fighting game, but the lack of gore for a MK based games was a huge hinder for the game.

For a fighting game to have longevity it needs to have balanced, in depth fighting system. None of the MK's have been able to achieve this so far.

Believe me, this MK game is far different from the ones under the supervision of Midway. The only two great MK games under Midway were MK2 & UMK3. This new MK game under WB (which is really a reboot from MK 1-UMK3) is starting to look more & more better.
for games like soul calibur dead or alive tekken and virtua fighter the controller 360 workes perfectly since there are littteraly very few charcters that has moves including a quarter circle with a dpad.
but for game like street fighter mvc and mortal combat i find them unplayable with the 360 controller dpad. mortal kombat 9 will be best played on the ps3
idk iLl probably get it on PS3 for the dpad, unless they release a fight stick for it, if they do Ill buy it with the fight stick on 360 since i have double the maount of friends buying it on that then they are on the PS3
