I really enjoyed the last one and hold it as best in series; even over my beloved MK2. I've come to realize over the years that fighting games really aren't my thing though, so while I'll be picking this up, I'll probably do so after a year from its release and a significant price drop.

Could have done without the music.

I'm not a big fan of fighting games so I probably won't be picking this up until it's much cheaper, but I've gotta say that looks great. If the gameplay looks like it did in those 2D fighting segments there, it will be a very good game. The camera work even in the 2D fighting adds a lot of depth to the overall feel of the game, something I haven't seen in a fighting game before. And it looks like they're evolving the mechanics that were brought in from Injustice very naturally, working with the environment in interesting ways.

Probably not, but it'd be amazing if so. Honestly, 2d fighting games don't excite me anymore, as much as i love MK, because of limitations.

But if it actually played like that, maaaaaan.

I don't like fighting games because you can't be good at them without special controllers. Classic xbox or ps controllers are not enough. Sigh. Why MS and Sony don't make 6-button (button letters) controller right out of the box ? One always have to resort to 3d party controllers makers to play fighting games, which is much more expensive.

In short, you can't play this game until you buy an expensive arcade stick.

They need to fix the online though, and the AI for that matter. I would have gotten heavily into MK9, but the online was unplayable for me thanks to lag, and I got sick of fighting the computer. It was either brain-dead easy, or bullshit cheap fighting game AI that is only difficult because it reads your inputs....

Cool E3 gameplay or movie. I think by now people should learn there's an E3 gameplay/movie and there's an actual released product gameplay/movie. I'm interested to see which exclusive characters they'll add on each system. I could imagine playing a Titanfall pilot and landing a Titan on players as a fatility.

So, according to WB UK, it's a PS3/4, and 360/ONE release no Wii U (of course).

I shouldn't be surprised on Mortal Kombat's recent lack of Nintendo appearances considering...

1. Despite the millions in the later installments, MK wasn't as popular on Nintendo as it was on SEGA or PS/XBOX. Street Fighter II (one of the versions made the freaking top ten, where as MK did not) was outselling it on that console. Killer Instinct was preferred over MK in sales. The only fighting games it DID beat (but just barely) in sales, were the Japanese only DBZ: Super Butouden games.

2. Injustice did horribly and Wii U didn't even get the Complete Edition of that game. Which ensures all WB is going to throw the Wii U's way are LEGO games.

3. The GC versions of the 3D games sold lower than Soul Calibur II, and that game sold 1 million in lifetime (while the PS2 version of SCII sold near 2 million surpassing the GC version overtime despite the GC version getting the strongest launch).

Reptile should've been the cover for xbone, and subzero for ps4. Missed opportunity!

Agree with you about the cover being better.

Nothing tops the goat cover though. The collector's edition should be themed like MKII. MK9 had the best CE from Last Gen.
