I hate to say this ... but runescape ... umm ...i also loved harvest moon, and diablo 2 definitely, lets not forget sim city 3000 and rolelr coaster tycoon.
1. WoW 2. Counter-Strike I quit WoW, but CS still has it's hold on me. It's even more addictive when you try to only use your knife! (thats not a joke. seriously. try switching to your knife and only using that. You learn how to play way better, and it is a lot more fun.)
smash bros melee! endless hours of multiplayer... i still play it with one of my friends that is at my same level of skill (masters of the universe:twisted:)
There are two actually. #1. Amplitude (PS2) - This game was done by Harmonix which I believe also did Guitar Hero. This is a music generating game where you build a song one instrument at a time. It seem simple enough, however it gets pretty difficult, and then you can play online against people and remix songs and upload them for others to download. I spent so much time on this game that I lost count. I really hope they make a sequel to this for PS3. This is the second game in a series of two. The first is Frequency, which is just as fun, but not done as well. #2. Battlefield 2 (PS2) - I ended up taking home an online demo for this game and was instantly hooked. Regardless that people keep picking the same maps over and over, I still love this game. The offline single player SUX!!! Don't bother with it. But the online multiplayer is probably the best online multiplayer I've ever played. IMO this beats Halo and Halo 2 hands down. For those thinking I just want to bash an Xbox game, this game is also available for Xbox and Xbox 360. I've played the 360 version and it plays just as good as the PS2 but with better visuals and I think a couple more maps. I cant wait for Battlefield: Bad Company (PS3, 360) to come out.
Animal Crossing: Wild World. I'm glad I gave it a chance b/c I usually don't play that type of game. Other than that RE4 on mercenaries mode, damn that is fun!
Pokemon was damn addicting...I picked it up again about 2 years ago, and put 28 hours into it in under 4 days.
I'm currently hooked on Advanced Wars DS...so many freakin missions...
As far as unbelievably long term addicting - I'd have to say Super Smash Bros. Melee and the Armored Core series.
SSBM - I got super into it and went to many many tournmanets around my state. With devotion like that, I was pretty addicted.
Armored Core - I've been playing it since the original, back in 1996, and only stopped playing after AC 3: Silent Line...an amazingly underappreciated series IMO.
I've been playing games since 1989 ignore him. He's probably a fan boy who thinks anyone who plays a good game for another system is a noob. obviously, not a gamer himself.
