I know many people find Diablo 2 MP addicting, but I played and played the SP forever too....So my pick will be Diablo 2.

I'd go with sims, so fun, simple and addicting, and you can really make it complex in sims 2 if you take it too far like I do. Everything except the objects I make, like the homes, sims, sometimes the clothes, I even made the neighborhood with simcity 4. I never play sims the game made, and never use houses the game built.

Tetris. Both me and my brother have "suffered" from Tetris effect. Ive been playing the GB version for years, and recently Ive picked up Tetris DS which is just as addictive, even though the gameplay is quite different.

Anyone try a game by Sierra called Pharoah? That game was pretty addictive. Probably spelt the name wrong. I used to stay up hours waiting for my pyramids to finish build!

Oblivion for me. More lasting value than Morrowind (especially with mods.)

I'm around 800-900 hours now (spanning roughly 7-8 characters).

After completing each game however the only ones that would keep me coming back are Harvest Moon (SNES) and Mass Effect. (Did finish KOTOR 2 & half times though :P).

Good question. The most addictive games are usually on the PC. The Sims? Rollacoaster Tycoon? Addictive games keep you coming back and make sure that you stay hooked.
