Most anticipated - then and now

I'm aware that many of you are anticipating some big (or maybe not so big) games on the horizon. I'd like to know what top 5 games your'e anticipating the most right now - in addition to some of the top 5 games you anticipated last gen. Bonus points for trailers/CM (of 6th gen games). Try to find ones you remember seeing.

Current:

Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday, LBP2, (cautiously) Xenoblade

6th gen:

Xenosaga Ep II - I remember this very PV. For some reason, it can't be found by searching for it normally in youtube.

Siren 2 - One of the highest quality games to never hit North American shores.

Rule of Rose - A very mysterious game.

Demento (Haunting Ground) - Very good game, but also a very strange game. I was really looking forward to this.

I don't think there are any games quite like these, except for maybe Siren New Translation which I haven't played yet. There are no games this gen that have matched my satisfaction to the level of Xenosaga Ep. II and Siren 2, but here's looking to the future.

Eh, that tales of vesperia ps3 localization would be nice

along with the new Fire Emblem and Golden sun DS games

and if Trinity universe doesn't end up being terrible...

Well it seems to be the case, judging fromt he previous leak.

Now:

• The Last Ranker- Looks like a pretty cool JRPG with a very mature, shonen tournament style story.
• Xenoblade- Probably the best looking, original JRPG this gen. Ive played it but I VERY much want to play it in english.
• Castlevania: Lord of Shadows- Im a huge Castlevania fan but like most fans are aware, the series doesnt do well in 3D. This game looks to change that completely.
• The next Tales of..- As a fan of the series Im always looking forward to the next iteration but after loving Graces I cant wait for the next installment.
• Golden Sun DS- What can I say? I really liked 1 and 2 and the DS one is shaping up nicely it seems. Pretty damn exited.

Last Gen:

• Ape Escape 2- 1 was simply alot of fun. Couldnt wait for a sequel. Sequel came. I liked it. Not everything I wanted.
• Metal Gear Solid 2- 1 was amazing but lacked in length. I though Solid 2 would remedy that and be fantastic. I was right.
• Dark Cloud 2- Closest thing I thought Id ever get to the ENIX classic Soul Blazer for the Snes. Not the same but one hell of a action RPG.
• Zelda: Twilight Princess- Watch the first trailer. It looked badass, Im a Zelda fan, I wanted it. Not everything I hoped for though.
• Ys III: The Oath in Felghana- Its was a remake of a quite a meh JRPG I liked back in the day. Its now one of my favorite games ever.

Now:

I'm afraid to buy a Wii in English because I'm almost certain that there are some Japan exclusive games. But then again I want to understand the story. Hmmm ... The Last Ranker? Is that for PSP?

Ys III was a meh RPG originally? I looked forward to TP too. It was a good game, but I didn't think it was anything special.

Whether you get a Japanese or English Wii just do yourself a favor and pick up Xenoblade. Really, its simply fantastic and it really whoops the other JRPG competition this gen. Great cutscene direction, pretty deep, fast and fun battle system and a great original story (read some FAQs). If anyone could appreciate it, its you.

Yep, the original Ys III was pretty damn bleh. I enjoyed it but it wasnt a high quality game. Quite a broken one too actually.

I really hope Nintendo did something special with the next Zelda (which will be unvieled tomorrow). TP was good but I dont think Ill be playing the next Zelda if it follows in TPs path.

I really need to replace my PSP. And buy a Wii. And decide if that Wii is going to be Japanese or not.

I've heard good things from a Xenosaga fan. Once I get it into my head that it's not going to be the next Xenosaga, I should be able to enjoy it. I'm still worried about Nintendo handling Monolithsoft (because I think Nintendo is the least likely publisher to okay a successor of sorts to Xenosaga), but Xenoblade seems to be the JRPG that this gen needs.

I really don't care about Zelda anymore. I like the N64 titles because they have a mysterious quality to them that makes them feel like a "legend." I feel like on the gamecube they lost that mysterious quality. I know its weird for something so elusive to be integral for me, but w/e. I'm sure whatever Nintendo produces it will at least be "good" enough for others to enjoy.
