GameCube pad is probably the most comfortable, but the NES, SNES, Dreamcast and 360 pads are nice too.

I hate the dual-shock. Its too small plus I can't even play without my thumbs touching each others.

Why didn't they redesign it.

Btw, maybe the gamecube controler(ugly but good in your hands) and xbox360 controler which is the best imo.

It's very hard for me to pick between the comfortability of the 360's controller and the Wii's. I do like the freedom the Wii Remote gives you, and it is still pretty light in weight. However, it's hard to get quick access to the buttons on the bottom, and the analog stick on the nunchuk feels a bit dated. The 360 however feels comfortable in your hands, and all of the buttons are readily accessible... which I like.

If we're talking about traditional controllers, the Gamecube and the Xbox 360 boast (in my opinion) the best & most ergonomical controller layouts. The 360 controller is an example of great industrial design, and is very pleasing on the eye (again, in my opinion).

The most comfortable controller to me was the original real big controller for the Xbox. My hands never cramped up.

I never really liked the Wiimote and yes, I've used it several times.
I find the 360 controller to be very comfortable.

Gamecubes controller. It just melts into my hand without me having to adjust my hands. All my finger can touch a button without to much stress, unlike the PS2 and Xbox controller. I have yet to put my hands ont a Wii controller so I can say anything about it. 360 controller is okay, but a few adjustment here and there would help. and PS3, since it's nothing but a PS2/PS1 controller but lighter and motion, it feels as bad as PS2's controller....

360 has the best controller feel. Second place would be the good ol' ps1 controler (only problem was the analogue sticks)

worst controller ever was the original xbox duke controller (so glad they broought controller S)

The most comfortable controller was the GC Pad. But in terms of button layout and versatility um not so much.

the 360's controller is the best and the ps3 is the worse maybe if sony make a new version of their sixaxis controller which will feature rumble and will be heavier it will be better because it is vey light

I'd agree about the Wiimote, but it's not really even comparable to other controllers. For traditional ones, I'd vote for the 360 and Gamecube controllers. Miyomatic

Same here.

Wavebird hands down. Not only does it fit perfectly in your hands but the asymmetrical button layout is perfect for many games.

I like the 360 controller because its curved the right way for your fingers. And everything is spaced (buttons, thumbsticks, triggers, etc) really well.

The wii remote is great, but sometimes I wish the nunchuck was wireless so I would stop getting tangled up in the wire... It's still pretty comfortable though.

PS3 controller is nice and has a good D-pad, but the thumbsticks are so close together and the triggers are so big, it just doesn't feel right in my hand.

I haven't tried the Wii controls yet so I'm gonna say the 360's controller. And the KB/mouse combo is the least comfortable control scheme imo.

The middle prong of the N64 controller is like the Wii nunchuck. I find the N64 controller to be very comfortable, and the DualShock is too small for me. A good controller has space for the part of your palm under your thumb to rest on, the DualShock doesn't have that, but the 360 does

I like the 360 controller, but the Wii's controller beats it out, simply because the controller is split.

The Gamecube controller was by far the best designed of last gen. The button layout was next to perfect as well. So user friendly.

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully by next gen we will see more similar designs.

Most comfortable, and best controller ever made... the wireless 360 pad, no question. Sixaxis/DualShock 2 are a close second.remaGloohcSdlO

NO WAY, the most comfortable is from the 360, but WIRED is the way to go... I went from wireless to wired, and w/o the battery pack is like OMFG this is the most comfortable.. perfect weight of all time!!!

The Saturn controller.Panzer_Zwei

Damn, someone beat me to it.

The second version of the Sega Saturn controller is hands-down the most comfortable controller created. In fact, I don't even consider this debatable or just an opinion- it's a damn fact. I know it wouldn't be suitable for modern gaming, but it's design based off what it was intended to do has not been matched.

As far as more modern controllers (something that COULD play modern games), the 360's controller is probably the best, despite a lousy d-pad. I don't know how people are saying the Wii remote- that d-pad is far too rigid to be effectively used for button presses. Other than that, yeah I'll I agree it holds pretty well...but without that d-pad, there aren't enough buttons.

I think the 360 controller is probably the most comfortable but it doesn't really matter when you'll get used to what ever controller you have. I switched fromt he PS2 to the 360 controller and it felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable until I got used to it and it was really comfortable, same thing when I switched from my 360 to PS3 controller. And when I say 360 controller I only mean the wired one because the wirless one has that huge battery pack so I don't have room for my fingers.

A good mouse and keyboard is very comfy (my special ed. G7 owns IMO) but..

The 360 gamepad is the most comfy gamepad......

The Wiimote feels quite akward, and the dualshock is very nice and snug, but its knowhere as erganomic as the 360s controller.

IMO - gamepads:

360 controller

Dreamcast controller

Dualshock

GameCube controller

Wiimote

360 controller.
GC controller
Wiimote
SNES
N64
PS
PS2/PS3
NES

The only gripe about the wiimote is i get shoulder pain if i have to point for too long(web browser), cuz i'm in a computer chiar with no arm rests and holdiing my arm up like that gets annoying. (no i can't just rest my arm down because my TV i on a dresser and the sensor goes out of range if my wiimote is that low.

out of consoles I find the ps2/3 controllers the most ergonomic. the 360 has the sticks in the wrong play for everything but shooters
