Most disappointing Sequels you ever played?

What are the most disappointing sequels you ever played? the games don't necessarilly have to be bad, just not as bad as the previous game(s) or disappointing given the hype for it.

some of my picks:

The level design was bland, the interesting locales were all gone but worst of all, was the story, the game tried to appeal to both the fairy tale tone of the first game and the heavy metal tone of warrior within, but it fell flat on both ends

How do you f*ck a sequel this bad? buggy, races that were killed off, the RPG elements were toned down, the sense of urgency is gone... just terrible

Hmm, I really liked Two Thrones. Anyway, GTA4 for me.

Uncharted 3. Gears 3 had a terrible ending but at least was a great game unlike Uncharted 3. RDR if that counts, I never played Revolver though. Blabadon

yep, reach counts, it's still a sequel in the same series

the only games that don't are spin offs, like say... Halo Wars, different genre so it can't be compared to the previous Halo games

Easy. Uncharted 3. I H-A-T-E-D that game with a passion. Story sucked - Controls sucked - Multiplayer sucked - Everything sucked. All the positive reviews and praise only fuel my anger. Naughty Dog mailed that one in all the way.

I remember liking Battlefront 2, but yeah, the space maps got old quick

Dead Space 2, GTA 4, Banjo Nuts and Bolts (not really a true sequel but still), Resistance 2, Uncharted 3 (not terrible by any means, just not Uncharted 2 impressive) and lots more I can't think of right now.

ME3, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Unreal Tournament 3 if it can be considered a sequel.

Forget the BF games, dafuq is wrong with Huamn Revolution?

Loved the First game easily up there with mario and banjoe games but second one decided to try to appeal to the gta crowd more and was far worse because of it lost all interest in the series after this.

I actually played this first before playing the original games so no nostalgia here but do I ever wish interplay had stayed afloat long enoguh to release van buren.

First game wasn't amazing or very deep but it wasn't trying to be it was simple and fun beat up and destroying everything gameplay and did that well the sequel is just terrible.

Liked FF X alot but the sequel just didn't live up to the first game's awesomeness.

Granted the original devs(crytek) didn't devlop this and instead went on to make crysis which was a worthy seqeul/spirtual succesor but farcry 2 is a disgrace to the farcry name such a bad game.

I loved the first trilogy and 'the new nightmare'. Every single version of Inferno was terrible.

Battlefield Bad company 2-All the humor and charm the 1st had was replaced with a more serious story

Watered down trash. It's barely an RPG anymore and the risk/reward has been almost entirely removed from the stealth aspect. It's just a shooter with a pretentious story riding on the coat tails of Spector's original masterpiece. It shouldn't even be called Deus Ex. As far as I'm concerned there is only one Deus Ex game.famicommander
