E.T.
It was supposed to be the staple of the 1982 holiday lineup and another testiment to how consumers can trust the Atari brand to deliver quality gaming.
What it did is kill the American console market for about 2 year.
That's pretty disappointing.
And if that doesn't count, then Daikatana. John Romero made nobody his b**** with THAT disaster.Â

Yeah probebly E.T., that game disappointed lots of young people that game was just crap.Â
Fable. Doom 3. Battlefield 2 (for me at least, the demo sucked me in and then the game failed to deliver).foxhound_fox
In what way did BF fail? Also, are you on 24/7? Anytime I drop by, you're in every thread.
Hah. You thought Fable was a let down? Play The Movies! "Create your own Hollywood Blockbusters!"
Â
More like micromanage whiny Sims ripoffs. Â

It's for for a while, but you get sick of having to deal with the actors and crew. You have to build the relationships, make sure they don't get fat or turn into a bunch of alcoholics. It's boring micromanagement. The movie making process does not feel involved.
Â
It's a financial sim, not a movie making game. Â
In gaming history....Halo 2 is the first title that comes to mind, followed by Super Mario Sunshine.Dualshockin

lol, really? Damn that kinda sucks, it would be awesome if they made a proper movie making game. Preferably something on consoles since I don't like PC.
That would be... sweet.
Duke Nukem Forever if it ever comes out, after this long, nothing less than perfection would be acceptable.TyrantDragon55
 True.
Yoshi's Storyyoshi_64
Forgot about that. Definitely agreed. They went back to the series roots with Yoshi's Island DS though so I'm happy.Â

Well, to be fair GS can't judge how the game will run on everyone's respective system, as for the vehicle whoring, Do you honestly think in real life a Jet is to be on par with a tank balance wise? Vehicles are tools of destruction, as in real life, a Jet has a major advantage over a footsoldier.

So I can assume you're staying away from Quake Wars?
I have problem with people complaining about vehicles in BF2. Saying that it should have had no vehicles at all. The problem is that Battlefield is defined by is vehicles, without vehicles it's barely Battlefield anymore.
Also, nothing about the game is unbalanced. Everything can be easily taken down if you work as a team. It's not the games fault if people don't play like that.

In terms of disappointment, that puts them nowhere near the realm of, say, Daikatana or the 2600 version of Pacman.Â
if people say halo 2 tey are very easily dissapointed or havent been playing games for long.raidenseven

Maybe Halo 2 wasn't as big a disappointment as SMS,but after playing Mario 64 then playing SMS,I felt like Nintendo had just pull a fast one on gamers. In gaming history? Don't know, But i'll just give you my personal list:
3. Killzone) The so called "halo killer", do I even need to explain this one?
2. Castlevania: curse of darkness) At first I thought:"yeah! finally a Castlevania game on the xbox". But how disappointed I was about the lame and repetitive level design and boring-ass gameplay. What a piece of crap.
1. Half Life 2) I heard alot of people(mostly hermits) calling this the greatest FPS ever. They said it was better than Halo!! And the sad thing is I believed them! I actually started bashing the halo franchise for being over hyped at that time(lol). But I was soooo disappointed when I played it..Great graphics, great physics but a very average shooter experience. Not a Bad game, but a horrible disappointment.

NO WAY! That game is friggon awesome.......(just relax, it's only an opinion).....Excuse me, i gotta go break a church window.
lol, just kidding, but the game does rock.Â

Daikatana by far. It was hyped to make you blow your load while playing it and it sucked hard.
In a far away second I'll say TP. I love Zelda as a franchise but can't bring myself to say that this game is AAA worthy.
Even farther third, I'd say Halo 2's SP. The MP was fantastic, but the SP couldn't hold a candle to the originals gameplay. I hate lock on gun butts for the love of God.
