Most fun FPS you played in 2015?

I was wondering what FPS gave you the most fun I have to say for me was Halo 5 that was the most fun in a FPS I have played in years the smoothness of it the level design the enemies, everything was spot on and fun hell even the campaign while it felt truly unfinished (which was a thing in 2015 for a few games) it was a fun package then the multiplayer was so old school to a tee I couldn't help but grin most of the time when I just killed everything.

My runner up was Wolfenstein old blood that the game play was fun story was great level design was damn good especially looking for secrets. So what was yours System wars?

Hmmm well Halo 5 is the obvious answer for me, but I can't hide my disappointment in the campaign...

So I'd probably say Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

Fallout 4 by a long shot. Excluding Rainbow Six, everything was garbo

Halo 5: Guardians. The mp is Halo, and I dug that more than battlefront's beta and The Old Blood. Rainbow Six Siege though is pretty solid.

This is a pretty bad year for FPS games in general. Siege was the only game I truly had a great time with.

Just bought Destiny TTK on sale for 25.00 new. I'll be playing it in a few days. I'm not keen on fps's but at that price I'm sure to get my money's worth.

Rainbow Six Siege

Didn't play a lot of first person shooters in 2015, but I thought Black Ops 3's zombies mode (and campaign) was pretty cool.

Star wars battefront.More noob friendly and relaxing than halo.

Overwatch, nothing comes close....

Halo 5 for me, it is almost all I played during the holidays. I regularly play with a party of 10-12 now and Warzone is just such a blast when you have a team who knows what they are doing.

I will say however that the game might have scared off some casuals, its pretty competitive and I get my ass handed to me the second I don't pay attention. That is what keeps me coming back though, all the weapons feel balanced to perfection and the gameplay is just rock solid.

I also enjoyed that Wolfenstein expansion Old blood, but I only played the first few levels and it was great just like the main game....need to get back to it soon.

I've mostly played CSGO if that counts

Black Ops 3, Battlefront was pretty decent but it was a pain in the arse to rank up in that game.

Killing Floor 2. Personally, I am confident that it will kick several amounts of ass on release day, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in its current state.

Fallout 4, Wolfenstein New Order was excellent too. Halo 5 campaign was one of the worst single player FPS I have ever played, just shockingly bad and it looked like a 360 game as well. **** 343 and the horse they rode in on.

Haven't played Dying Light yet but looking forward to it, heard nothing but good things about it.

Was it because of the glaring lack of MC as some Halo fans are claiming, or more because of generally bad game design? I'm curious because for all its faults, 343 at least managed to build a decent campaign in Halo 4.

(Oh and I also heard about some pretty dumb story beats in the Halo 5 campaign. Ugh.)

Uh... I don't know where to start to be honest. I wasn't bothered that master chief didn't play a big part it was more that in the build up there was this big conspiracy alluded to basically marketing PR that was completely ignored in the actual game.

The 'plot' was hilariously bad, totally fragmented and made no sense at all to people who hadn't read the books. Forget all the Halo games that came before it, the game revolved around characters that were never explained.

The actual gameplay was shit too, totally repetitive battles against copy and past mini bosses that went on far too long and the graphics were fucking rank.

Apart from all that it wasn't too bad :) Biggest gaming disappointment for me in many years, I pre-ordered it, never again. I loved Halo 4 too btw but honestly, they didn't give a flying **** for the SP game with Halo 5 it was designed from the ground up for MP which explains why the graphics stink (60fps at all costs etc) they only dumped out a bare bones SP with their shit graphics engine because they were contracted to do so.

That's a real shame. Halo has, admittedly, mostly been popular for its competitive multiplayer, but the campaign was always the main draw for me. I loved the campaign in 1, Reach, 3, ODST and 4, and enjoyed the one in 2. Looks like 343 are looking to turn Halo into a run of the mill shooter franchise that focuses mainly on the multiplayer aspect. I could be wrong, since I haven't really played Halo 5 yet, so I don't know anything about it from first hand experience, but this is the first time, I think, a Halo game has been criticised for having a downright bad campaign.

Barely played any FPS games last year, but I guess my go to is TF2, so that.

Obviously you'll have to play it yourself to see how you feel about it but don't spend too much on finding out, it can be bought fairly cheaply now. Seriously it's the worst Halo campaign ever even including offshoots. As a huge Halo fan I felt insulted by how bad it was but that might be my own fault for hyping myself to death for it before it came out.

I hope you get more out of it than I did.

bad game design what about halo 5 was bad game design? what does that mean? is it the mechanics of the game? the level design? how the levels are? cause they were all top notch only down side was the Campaign felt cut in half For me at least.

You mean apart from most of the main characters being people Halo fans who bought every single game in the franchise never heard of because they didn't read the books? Or maybe you are talking about the 'retreat and hide and find the best spot' levels where you kill mini bosses you've seen over and over who are really annoying? Or what about the NPC's? Loads of them in some areas who you never get to talk to because they have nothing to say except 'speak to X' and every level shunts you off to the next without a single **** given to why or who or where or what?

Let's not forget the pre-launch marketing which flat out fucking lied about what you could expect from the actual game.

You talk about levels as though you are describing an MP game the complaint here is about the SP game which absolutely fucking blows. Not just the worst Halo game but one of the worst FPS of all time.

Also I don't consider fallout 4 or dying light a FPS so that doesn't count. but they were both great games.

I am talking about campaign levels I mostly play campaign and All I love about the game is what the campaign is, level design, gameplay ETC The multiplayer is just a very nice bonus

I don't know, I haven't played it. I wasn't levelling criticism at the game, I was asking why it's campaign isn't up to scratch.

I see. The only criticism I can give is the campaign feels incomplete like there was 5 or so more levels that were cut to truly finish the story off other than that its a fantastic game
