Most hated vide game companies...

From what I gather EA and Capcom deserve universal scorn for what they supposedly "ruining" franchises like Mass Effect, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Space and becasue shading DLC practices.

Who else is on that list and why? I think Microsoft should be #1.

I put Bioware under the EA hate. I really don't hate any company, but I really dislike Activision because of Call Of Duty....the worst thing to happen to gaming.

And most of it is completely unjustified. I can't think of single thing Sony has done that deserves hate. Xbox Live is enough for Microsoft.

From being a Wii only player I can't really hate Capcom. They given me Tatsunoko and Monster Hunter Tri, so just EA.

I don't much like the practices of Nintendo, MS, and Activision but I don't think any of them are evil.

And my most respected game company is probably CD Projekt for what they do with GOG. They're not only bringing back the history of PC gaming, but making all their games readily available on the latest Operating Systems, completely DRM free, and they try to provide as many goodies as possible with the games they sell.

NOTE: I don't hate any of these companies below, but this is based on what I see of the initial reaction...

Those are definitely my two most hated companies. I only hate Microsoft on video game side though. I'm Ok with their other divisions.

Maybe Valve. They seem a bit arrogant.

To answer the OP, my most "hated" video game company is EA, I simply see minimal appeal in most of their games as of late, by trying to please everyone, their games feel like they severely lack focus and identity. It all feels watered down...

And that's without even venturing into rants about DLC overkill and similiar shaddy business practices...

Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, will do so soon, and from all I gathered, I definitely wouldn't call it a piece of crap. It probably won't live up to the greatness that was Blood Money, but I still expect a good game...

Piece of crap? It was a great game. Not a perfect hitman game but one of the best of last year. Not only that but it's one of the best looking games to date (on PC)

Yeah... could be, but since I was never a fan of Final Fantasy, can't say I'm overly bothered with what happens to it... Square Enix that I know published some great games this gen, and as such, I see them as a valuable part of the industry...

When you put all the games together like that it makes them sound even greater. I forgot about Deus Ex being done by them.

I forgot that I don't like EA because of Madden Football. They got scared of 2K Sports and bought exclusive rights to the NFL. I hope that agreement ends soon. We see how NBA 2K wiped the floor with and basically ended the NBA Live franchise. Competition is a good thing.

The only one I really hate is Activision, Capcom is starting to get on my nerves. Suprisingly never disliked EA.

Probably Microsoft, with their faulty 360 hardware and GFWL and pay to play online. They suck

Other than them removing features from the PS3, and adding online passes (DRM) into all their first party games sure Sony has done nothing wrong.

You could even make a case for the fact that they removed B/C, and 'conveniently' soon afterwards began releasing HD PS2 collections.

That kind of stuff is shady, and hurts the consumer

I hate EA with passion on the PC because of their EULA

I'm not a huge fan of EA as a publisher but some of their studios are great, its their business practices that irritate me, same for Crapcom and Square.

The only thing I really hate about Sony is all their lying and ignorance toward the public. Their attitude toward others is pretty poor. They think they can do no wrong, which is why "karma" has come back and slapped them upside their heads. They are last this generation and have literally lost billions over the last 3-4yrs. Hopefully this is a wakeup call for them and then can change their ways and recover.

I like Capcom only because of Resident Evil (I'm not upset about the new direction). I really like Square Enix (can't wait for Tomb Raider to drop and Deus Ex: Human Revolution was great). EA put Mass Effect and Dead Space so I like them for that...don't like them for Madden.

I still enjoy squares games Yes that includes 13 series. If anything the company the urks me is capcom not cause thier games but cause of how they handeled dlc this gen. They did such a crap tastic job and im pretty sure people are still sore about UMVC3 which was basicly a giant FU to people who supported them with MVC3.
