Going by "impressive", not necessarily "best" or "favorite" I'd have to say Doom.

FF7, Zelda:Oot, Half-life, and Baldur's Gate II were also incredible imo.

That damn thing is so freaky..

like it had its ass kicked or somthing...the Mario i can stand..but the kirby makes me puke buckets.

Big rigs is the best game evar. Actually it's more than a simple game, it's a simulator.

WoW doesn't do anything impressive or new. Everquest did a perfectly good job of ruining lives before WoW, and other games did it before EQ.

Wow just had perfect timing. They came along and made their game with all of the changes EQ had eventually implemented and also corrected built-in problems that time had revealed, but became impossible to really fix. Besides, once a game gets that bloated and old, its run its course and people are ready for the next thing.

That is a very impressive game. Some of the sights are truly amazing.

Ocarina also comes to mind, so does Diablo 2.

I loved the look of the second world, especially the town.
