1. You don't have to use it.
2. Its helpful because I hate dieing and being sent back to the checkpoint which is almost a mile away(Crysis)
Save anywhere is a feature more console games need.Master-Thief-09Agreed, I don't like it when you have to save at a certain checkpoint or something, and I think more developers utilize the save anywhere feature.
I wished I just quick saved before I came in this bad topic so I could redo it and not click on this topic.millerlight89*hammers all the F buttons* I forgot to map it
STALKER has quick save Arma has quick save. You trying to tell me those are noobish games?mo0ksi
Yup, they are totally noobish games, nothing like progames like Halo 3 or Gears of War 2 :P
Yeah, with quick save you don't have to use it, and the save anywhere save type is alot better than the check point system most console shooters use, mainly because sometimes the checkpoints are placed in bad areas.
(BTW nice Sig TF 2 rules)
Quick save doesn't inherently make the game easier. It is basically an optional checkpoint system. You can use it or not but it doesn't make the game easier to play since you still have to play the same thing whether you use it or not.If some games didn't have it, they would be incredibly frustrating.foxhound_foxExactly what I was thinking. Quick-save isn't noobish for games that were designed for quick-save. If you put quick-save into a game that wasn't made for it, THEN it would be noob-ish. Otherwise it isn't.
HURF DURF
Auto aim is a system that attempts to make the game easier/ level the playing field for people who are either new to the game or just lack the skills to aim.
A noob is someone that is new to a game and lacks the skills to play it well. So auto aim would fit the definition of "noobish."
Quicksave lets you save when ever you want. It in no way helps you aim or makes the game easier. It just saves you from having to fight through the same fights over and over again. The last console FPS I played that had check points were Halo1/2 and it was, by far, the most obnoxious save system I have ever encountered.
MOD:Frontline was the first and only FPS that I beat without a quick save feature. Yes, it sucked that you had to restart the whole level again if you die, but on the bright side, it made the game experience feel more tense 'cause you were so afraid that you were going to die once you made it halfway through the level and much more satisfying once you made it.
If a game doesn't have a quick save feature, I'm fine with it.
And it's called quick save... You can save anywhere in a split second and do really hard parts over and over agian till you get it right. insanejedi
Yeah I use it everytime in mutiplayer mode...
