I had a PS3 for over 2 years now, and i recently just bought a xbox 360.

There is one thing i notice that i am sure most people who only have a xbox 360 will not know is that xbox 360 D pad is so poorly designed comapres to the PS 3 controller or wiimote.

If you have a ps3 and a xbox 360, try typing something to your friend with the controller's D pad, it is so much easier and faster on the PS3 controller then on the xbox 360 controller. the difference is huge.

come to think about it no wonder there are no 2D fighting games on xbox 360, the controller's D pad is totally crap. did some research online and peopel say some of the rubber material in ps3 is not present on xbox 360's D pad, that's why the D pad is so unresponsive.

also i bought a bunch of 1600 microsoft points last week from target for 4.99 each and when i went on xbox live to buy live games (was all excited cuz i bought a bunch of great games on PSN), i realized there are not a single game worth buying, i like assult hero cuz of the co op but it looks like crap compares to PSN games. and some upcoming games like street fighter 2, 1942 and some other ones, i am definately buying them for the PS 3 cuz i can play free online with friends.

if you live in LA let me knwo i will sell you some 1600 microsoft point cards dor 10 bucks each.

now that i own both systems, i am no longer just a PS3 fanboy, but i found some flaws in xbox 360 that i really don't like and want to address. the D pad cant' really be fixed cuz xbox is out for so long now and no way will they fix something like that. bad quality control and design really hurt it i guess. xbox really need more quality arcade/online market place games or else it will be in big trouble when peopel start to buy games on PSN instead of xbox live.

The PS3 analog sticks are crap though. Wait a few months and they're going to start gliding. One thing I don't like about the Dualshock 3/Sixaxis.

Yeah, the 360's D-pad is horrible. And the PS3's Analog Sticks are a little spongy. We need a controller with the 360's analog sticks and the PS3's D-pad.

PS3 has been out a year and a half right? Nov. 06? I'm confused, i'll comment on the rest shortly.

Ok now that I read the entire thing, yes the 360 dpad sucks.. but your entire rant(?) sounds like a cheap attempt to cover up a bad attempt at saying the PS3 is better than the 360 by way of YOUR opinion. Thats just my opinion, but thats the way it sounds.

I know but there isnt any games that I play that use the D-pad. I wish it had the PS dpad, oh well I still got my 360 for the analog sticks.

Yeah, i dont really mind though as the only thing i really ever use them for is like selecting weapons and stuff So it's ok for that. I admit Vf5 controlds would have been infinetely better if the d-pad was as good as the dualshock's.

The d-pad is not that bad, honestly. Want a good input for fighting games, get an arcade stick. From what I gather, they are preferable for most over a controller anyway.

I do find that the 360's thumbsticks are better but the PS3's D-pad is better, it's not like they're major problems. I've been thinking of taking a PS3 controller apart and putting in some 360 thumbsticks to make the perfect controller!

I don't mind the PS3 sticks themselves, I just hate the positioning on the controller. Its physically uncomfortable to use them for long periods of time for me.

Have no clue. I dislike fighting games. You could ask BlackBond. He is a fighting game dictionary, and loves arcade sticks. Believe he built his own arcade stick to boot.

Same, but my main problem is the triggers. They dont feel nice at all. Especially for racers.

Yes after play with the 360's controller I agree the triggers on the Ps3 are not in the same league.. I do like the Sticks better then the 360's and I like the size of the ps3 it's just more comfertable for me..

Most games don't require much use of the D-pad. So I guess people don't complain much about it. Otherwise MS would probably have fixed it.

Personnaly I don't know how they F'd up on it. D-pad has only been around for 30 years.

PS3 analog sticks are terrible. Not only that, but 360 does have good games in the XBLA, I have downloaded large numbers of titles, I don't see how you could have missed them.

The MadKatz controller that is exactly what your looking for. It has the best of both worlds!
