Most suprising news/rumor this gen?

So far, we've heard and witnessed to pretty good and bad news that suprised us. What's the most suprising news or rumor that made you go "WTF!?", Haha owned, or what ever :P

Mines would be the the rumored squad-based Halo game. I shivered a bit when I heard about it :shock:

yes but it wasn't released nearly at the same time. This is a big deal for a huge franchise. If you think the FF series is nearly as popular as the GTA series, you're miss-imformed

The point is all 3 games were on xbox last gen therefore it being on 360 wasn't a big surprise. Hell anyone could see it coming.

Yeah, but the most SUPRISING news? Even though GTA is a big franchise, considering its past multiplatform installments, a non-timed exclusive GTA wasn't that suprising, in fact I knew it wasn't since the SONY-Rockstar deal expired in 2007.

FFXIII on the other hand, had always been a one platform only franchise.

i guess that their is one that that could rival gta4 to 360. That would be Sony announcing a 600 dollar price tag on it's launch SKU. Suprisingly stupid from an experienced company.

MGS4 360 rumors always surprise yet annoy me........... It always pop up every month although Konami denied it..........

And I still can see another MGS4 360 rumor in near future..................

hey Kez seeing as how you hate JRPGs what's your opinion of Infinite undiscovery? technically that game is a hybrid of WRPGS and JRPGS

GTA was never exclusive, only timed... it was no suprize whatsoever.

Got round to playing Mask Of The Betrayer though, you were right, it was pretty good. Didn't like the end-boss though, he seemed kinda lame in comparison to the king of shadows battle at the end of NWN2.

ya NWN 2: mask of the betrayer was overlooked because of the mediocre NWN 2 it's a real shame

yap the trial is the turning point of the game if you ask me, the only thing missing in mask of the betrayer is the keep, i really liked that part

I think the awesome New Xbox Experience was very surprising and awesome. Then again, FFXIII going to the 360 was also surprising but I had hated FFXIII already and I don't care when an exclusive goes multiplat so the NXE has to be the most surprising/awesome.
