Bungie. They make great games and are very caring of their fans, yet nobody seems to take notice.
I can't wait to see what their next project is (outside of Halo).

This is about the actual developers, not the games they create. Ask any of the 10+ million people who have bought Halo 3, "Who developed this game?" I bet my life that more than half of them don't even know who Bungie is, let alone that they developed the series from the ground up.
I go with this. Sly Cooper was an underrated franchise and Infamous is going to rock.

I mean, 7.8 for the first game? Are they series? It was at least an 8.5. It was short, but it had to be on of the best PS2 games of all time, still easily in my top 5 games of all time.
The other ones are still a little undeserving. 8.4 is alright, but they weren't even close to the phenomonal first game.

It is more of how they treat their community, Bungie is one of the few companies that gets really involved in their community and actually listens to them. I could really care less about the Halo series, but I know a good developer when I see one.
I love the Ratchet and Clank series but insomniac went wrong with Resistance.
my thoughts exactly they should have made an action/adventure game instead of R/R2 Nintendo is probably the best developer all round that's ever existed...but here youd think they had made 2 games. I can't honestly say which developer is truly underrated. It's kind of relative. I've never liked capcom that much, or ea, but recently they are bumping up their game.
The team behind shenmue, making one of the worlds expensive game before half life 2, they should come back and make a third. I know some of them are part of making the yakuza games.

I agree with SIlicon Knights, although i dissagree with Too HUman. I wasnt anticipating the game at all, but i actually really enjoyed its coop online gameplay with a friend. IT really reminded me of a faster versino of diablo with all the item hunting and coop fun. The game isnt as bad as reviews said imo. Also another game that i hated the demo but enjoyed the full game.

I second stardock. When someone mentions RTS they usually meean blizzard, relic, Creative assembly or ensemble and while this companies made some of the best rts games my favorites and Imo the best Rts games were made by stardock. Sins of solar empires and galactic civilizations

agreed, but atlus has a bad habit of only producing a very limited number of copies of their game, alot of times people looking for their games can only find them on ebay for like $100

gal civs games are not rts and sins was not developed by stardock, :P well that said I would also agree with Stradock being most underrated
One word: Rare. No other company has made as many games as they have this generation...and with 4 more exclusives coming out for XBox 360...they make me smile. Think about the games they made this generation...and all are AAE or AAAE.
The question is most underrated game developer, and bungie is not underrated. I go with Naughty Dog, they make amazing games, but no one seems to notice this gen, and uncharted is so different from their previous style.
