I'd say Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei series are underrated, especially with Persona.
Persona 3 and 4 were just awesome and I barely heard any bad comments about those games.

[QUOTE="Espada12"]Heh, I was going to say Mechwarrior... No-one ever talks about that, and it really is the gem on the crown of the mech-battle genre, and just an exceptional series.Freelancer and the Mechwarriors series.

Yes i absolutely loved 3 it's my favourite out of the lot. I also loved the mad cat :P, I wish the series would come back but the only thing we are getting is a mod based of the Cry engine.
haha the catapult I could never drive that one too well. I actually didn't like 4 because of the mad cat MK II which as I saw it was a little imba lol, heavy type mech with jump jets(and it basically replaced the mad cat because it's weight load was higher I believe so it could hold me weps and have more mobility), I also liked the vulture and shadowpanther(sp?) the one with the X shaped missle launcher.

I had no clue, I though the series just transitioned to the PC, didnt know the PS2 game was actually a port. Accourding to GS the games did very well, color me surprised.

There was a PC version and it's one of the best game I've played. The PS2 version is a bad port, Monolith doesn't do that well on consoles, mainly with Sony, like FEAR and FEAR 2, which were worse on PS3. The sequel was on PC and it was awesome too.[QUOTE="-Oath"][QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]

Better controls, quicksaves, which is useful since the game is long, longer than most FPSs. The PS2 version didn't have checkpoints or quicksaves, I think.I'd have to agree. The game felt like an all around masterpiece in the gameplay and presentation front. I hope that Relic does a third one soon.Gunna have to go with Homeworld.

the original homeworld is one of the greatest games of all time.
also the original ape escape was awesome.
LOL Now Ive seen everything. Anyway, underrated games are Planescape Torment, Fallout 2, System Shock 2, and also the Mechwarrior series.Halo, at least here. Everyone treats it like it's mediocre, but really it's a fantastic franchise.

After Chaos Theory, the series became mediocre garbage.splinter cell series, all need to be above 9.0

The next one, Conviction is less like SC, more like a video game version of Taken. That whole mechanic with the auto-aiming is a game breaker for me. This isnt SC, its a bad action game.splinter cell series, all need to be above 9.0

Granted, I do believe the mutiplayer was inferior, but the single player experience was very strong. But, you're so right... I mean, just because you didn't enjoy it automatically means the series is garbage. Who am I to enjoy a game? How stupid of me.
