Its very easy to make fun of but ultimately it made sense to focus on the console itself during the console reveal. I would say Sony having a console reveal and not showing the console was the worst "reveal" in history.

Yes I understand the first step in marketing is letting people know your product exists, which A LOT of people do, even if its for the wrong reasons. Second step is giving people something they want...games, and at E3 they will do that. Look at the Wii U, the reason nit isnt selling is because the general public has no idea it even exists, or that its a follow up the the Wii.

Sony showed one game that had actual gameplay...and it was mediocre...AND THEY DID NOT REVEAL THE CONSOLE AT THE CONSOLE REVEAL EVENT.

My favorite part is the scripted applause for "Xbox, watch TV". That moment summed up the whole reveal in so many ways. I knew that having the reveal at MS campus was more or less a Gestapo move.

One exclusive, but other games had gameplay, definitely better then no gameplay at all. I would definitely concur with Xbone reveal being one of the worst in history.
