Let me get this right, pure got good scores because it added only big jumps to the ATV racing genre while motormstorm 1 got low scores because it lacks features. motorstorm 2 adds features that was missing in part 1 but still get and average score of 8?
I'm confused? it seemed reviewers feel like this should of been the 1st game meaning motormstorm2 is just an DLC update

What i noticed in that video was how he bashed the first one for not having a split screen but said nothing much about the second one having a 4-way split screen... GT has always been biased towards PS3, so that didnt suprise me.

Just because they remedied what was missing from the first game, doesn't mean it's a sure success. People come to expect more than just improvements that should have been in the first game to begin with.
GT's reviews often confuse me. They criticize or praise various parts of games and then the score at the end doesn't seem to reflect any of it.
Their complaints for Motorstorm 2 were that they wish it had a crash mode and they didn't like the engine noises when they were boosting. They also mention that the graphics didn't change much, which might mean the original was ahead of its time because the game looks phenomenal.
How then does presentation score a mid 8 and the overall score come up to an 8.6? Do these two complaints, both of which are opinion, really deserve a 1.4 point knock?
Looks like it could get high AA here, though I doubt it -- knowing Gamespot they'll praise it in the review, barely mentioning any faults -- and if they do, they'll be minor as well... and it'll somehow probably attain a 7.5 or 8.0.

i was confused with those complaints aswell. Do u think its possible crash mode could be added in the future?
