I love Mount and Blade: Warband, and I can't wait for the online campaign with Fire and Sword.

I think there just milking it now tbh. Enhanced models and textures cmon, that could been done with a small patch.

  • New factions
  • Grenades
  • 3 Storylines
  • Much improved town management (from what I hear)
  • Being able to create your custom troops

It looks like the improvement will be bigger from Vanilla to Warband. But Nothing that cant be done with a simple patch. They have supported Warband for almost a year giving free items, maps and bug fixes, while my respect takes a toll, I still regard highly of them. I am considering whether I should get for this or wait for Taleworlds real next project (this one is simply a MUCH improved version of a Mount and Blade game made by another company). I loved the first 2 and they were worth every penny I spent on them, and I am sure I will love this as well.

Guns already existed in M&B and for that matter so does magic (I am not kidding). Of course, those 2 are hidden away from the main game.

True but that's irrelevent if the new content results in you playing a lot more. A slight expansion of M&B would probably provide me with more play time than another CoD type game which retails for twice the price.

In the words of Bart Scott, "Can't Wait!" Unknowingly Mount and Blade Warband was my most play game on Steam at 97 hours. Anything that improves off that formula has got my money.
