Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A movie lincensed video game? It's been a while since I've seen one of these. :/ Anyways, I enjoyed the first two films, and a game set in this universe seems like it could work, but it looks generic.

Feels like one of those made-for-twitch games.
I bet we'll see a ton of streamers and content creators playing it despite how bad it is, like that Texas Chainsaw game
It's definitely a possibility. I think it'll fall under everyones radar.
I will say this has TLOU formula going for since, in that game, you had to stay silent when dealing with Clickers as the Aliens do follow this principle. I personally enjoy A Quiet Place movies and the latest film was good despite its a prequel.
As far as movie license goes. There are times they can be good, it really depends on which studio is making that game. X-Men Origins: Wolverine game was in fact a great game and the movie was shit! That tells you not every movie license is going to be bad.
Fun movie licensed games are a rare thing. I guess I enjoyed Aliens Fireteam Elite, Mad Max, Telltale's The Expanse. Terminator Resistance and Robocop. Friday The 13th. Those come to mind.
This? Meh.
Saw this movie over the weekend. Sitting through it was the greatest challenge I had all week. It was extremely dull and repetitive.
@davillain: Peter Jacksons King Kong Official game of the movie, yes the actual title, was my favorite video game adaptation of a film.

Good god I forgot all about that game...and the title.
Anyway, we've had some good games based on movies...but also bad ones. Possibly more bad than good. But I don't think it fair to just dismiss them all.
Off the top of my head:
Some good movie-to-game adaptations that come to mind:
I can totally recommend it. The perk system is very fun, and you can basically become a walking tank.
Also there is this whole uphold the law or serve the public theme. Very cool cop game.
