MP3 Corruption vs BioShock

Which game do you prefer?

People here who know mw may be shocked by my answer: Bioshock.

I've never been a fan of Microsoft, matter of fact they kind of make me laugh. But this game, Bioshock, is the best game I've ever played in my life. It's genius. It really is.

I had to let that one out. It was killing me.

I want to see what people here on the boards have to say about the subject though.

And Bioshock is just a dumbed down version of System shock.

Easily Bioshock. MP3 is just a bit of advancement (not noticeable) in graphics and waggle support. Bioshock took the whole FPS genre and turned it upside down.

Both games are entirly different. it wouldnt be fair to compare them.

I don't think that argument's gonna work here. We got two flag ship FPS's going head to head so what's the problem?

As to what I've been playing of Metroid Prime 3...hmm

Well, in terms of it being a GAME, Metroid.

In terms of it being more of an interactive fiction, BioShock.

Dumbed down for consoles, Less complex than Shock 2. Dumbed down difficulty , dumbed down interface and game mechanics, Thank you consoles.

Don't worry- it's not like I'm biased or anything. I have thoroughly researched MP3 and it is in fact just another Metroid game with waggle. Even Gamespot said it doesn't do that much different than previous games.

i've played bioshock and i think it is one of the best fps game in history of gaming industry.

I haven't completed Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, but comparing Deus Ex to Bioshock had a major negative effect on my experience with Bioshock. However, with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, I don't have much to compare to so my experience so far has been much better.

Thats a pretty ignorant thing to say. Bioshock is not dumbed down for consoles. The game is just as intense as the PC version. So are you just mad cause the PC version doesn't look leaps and bounds better. The only thing holding back both versions is the vita chamber cause it feels like you don't die but to get around that when you do die, you just re load your last save. Then it feels like you die more in the game and it makes you find a different way to kill the big daddies or other splicers.

On topic. I have completed bioshock but am working on MP3 right now and i must say both are enjoyable to play. Very hard for me to choose one over the other.

I'm playing both right now. I'm a big Metroid fan and MP3 is a really great game. Bioshock is incredible too. They are similar and so different at the same time. Each has it's stregths and weaknesses. This is a hard one.

I've been going over it, staring at my screen for like five minutes now.

My vote is for Bioshock. The deciding factor for me was it's something I've never experienced before. While not completely original it made the FPS genre a little less stale for me.

Funny how you contradict yourself. "INSTEAD I play real games" So you say you play "real" games instead of MP3, so which is it? Have you beaten it or not, I'm betting you haven't.

MP3 is the winner by a landslide. I hope people will stop talking about that overhyped PoS they call Bioshock.LP_beats_Led_Z

Ok. Well i got the impression he was saying that consoles are the reason Bioshock doesn't live up to the standards of system shock because he does say and i quote "Thank you consoles". Sounds like he's bashing consoles for it being dumbed down.

Well blame the developer and not the consoles. I'm sure they could have made it more up to your standards but as for me i thoroughly enjoyed the game so i'm not complaining.
