Is that why they released the elite. Is the premium and core flawed? Discuss.

They don't need a recall. They already extended the warrenty to 3 years for those 360s that do break. My launch console did fine until I got an Elite. Oh, and I've seen this topic 5 times in this forum already.

A recall when not every single one breaks and they give a free 3 year warranty? hmmDoctorBunny

I know this link has been posted before but I am asking a question about it. The article states, "Microsoft has admitted that every one of the 11.6 million Xbox 360 consoles sold in the past 19 months suffers from a design flaw that could cause the device to fail."

That means All 360 sold in the past 19 mos have a chance of breaking. What happens after the 3 yr warranty. Will it break on the 4th or 5th? Kinda scary, right.

A design flaw is worst than have bad parts.

360 is worry free. It has a 3yr warranty. And its the plus warranty which means if they can't fix it the will get you thier latest revised console.

Yeah I bought an extended warranty. I'm covered till Nov. 2009. It covers everything though, not just these mythical 3RL.

recalls happen rarely....the only thing that would be likely to cause a recall is if the 360 itself was dangerous.

thats what happened to some sony laptop batteries last year.

No need for a recall; the vast amount of sold 360's work without any flaws.

And if you should get unlucky (it's after all very unlikely that a system that has been used for a couple of years should fail on the 3rd year - things like these usually happen rather soon when it comes to electronics) MS will pick it up at your door, repair it, and deliver it back to your door. Free of charge.

Now that's customer service on a level that one rarely see these days. It's a great move from MS.

microsoft unfotunately isnt worry free, they now have loads of pressure as fan loyalty is starting to plummet due to these kinds of messages and the fact that ms didnt respond to sonys price drop, ms is going down hill and this discusion clearly shows a reason why
