http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2009-11/video-microsoft-demos-next-gen-computer-motion-sensing-and-eye-tracking Some impressive tech..... Researchers are also developing touchless gesture interfaces that replace cameras with muscle sensors, and have tested such gestures with both Microsoft's Surface Table and the rocking game Guitar Hero. I caught a glimpes of that on engadget.com at work.

I can't wait when I start hand gesturing and commanding my PCs, Xbox360s and Tvs at home.

impressive I say.

Microsoft, Hitachi and all the other manufacturers implementing such technology need to make sure the sowftwareinterface is intuitive and the gestures to atleast be universal.

Speaking of which anyone seen the movie Gamer?

Though I didn't like the movie - I was very impressed by the guy wrap around screen room and how it used voice, motion and gesture controls.

Probably be a way off until we see something of that fluidness and power but at least we are starting to make progress.

there are many ways to interact now-

Keyboard + Mouse

Controls- control pad, remotes

-touch screens

now motion, voice recogntion, eye tracking(Like in the movie Minority report)and gestures.

MS Surface is actually really cool, i've tried it out at my local MS office ( I work at the City IT Department ). The next generation interface is going to be crazy.
