Maybe if they want to cater to us more they could start by providing a decent video marketplace for one.

It is somewhat true. The UK is where you'll see all the Buzz sales and Singstar sales.

Yeah, Europe not including the UK is hardcore PC. I think its just the UK thats pretty casual. You'll always see games like Wall-E, The Sims etc. in the charts.
Ok then, less casual more social. I love social gaming and I'm sure people all around the world do not just us Europeans. Nothing is more fun than some Halo 3 splitscreen. Oh look at that, Halo 3, not Singstar or Guitar Hero. Devs need to realise people enjoy all kinds of social gaming not just casualised social gaming, we needs more splitscreen and co-op games!bobbetybob
Americans (US citizens) tend to be less social, as our society is geared more towards competition and being wary of others than being cooperative and sociable with others.
One more reason I want to leave the US at some point.

no it's not. i walked into a spanish GAME once and OH LAWD it was casual-tastic. hardly a PC section at all. whereas in the UK the 360 is pretty popular. althhough racers are very popular in the UK. i mean ign UK gave pgr 4 a whole point more (9.1)

Halo in general is.
Bu bu EU are teh h4rdc0re PC g4mers e1ite :PangelkimneI presume MS are talking about console gamers, go look at the UK's gaming charts, its shameful :(
On PC in UK games like football manager dominate, and by god that game is as hardcore as they come
The UK is pretty hardcore, but there are also a lot of casuals who own wiis. GTA4 sold over a million here in it's first week, it's not like there is no demand for "hardcore" games. M$ would make a big mistake if it tryed to overly target casuals here, there entire user base is made up of the "harcore", all 2.5m of us. The main reason ninty has been dominating the charts recently is because there haven't been many 360 games released over the summer.

I would consider games like mario and sonic go to the olimpics or wii fit "casual" and im sure so would microsoft. Games that appeal to people who don't normally play videogames regularily. GTA4 may be extremley popular, but its not a casual game in the same sense that M$ are talking about.

On PC you have a very hardcore audience in the UK but on consoles the **** that people buys appalls me. Look at the UK chart every week, its abhorent. Not saying you don't have a hardcore group on consoles, it is however small and alot of the console players play FIFA, Tiger woods, GT (or collin mcrea in my day), GTA and Halo and not much else, you also have a large younger audience (singstar and those 'ing dance games)[QUOTE="KinkInDaLink"][QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"][QUOTE="KinkInDaLink"]You must live in a different UK to the one i know :PThe UK is pretty hardcore, but there are also a lot of casuals who own wiis. Also the hardcore gamer in my expeirence is a lot more savy than the casuals that come in to buy games. If a game has been out a couple of weeks they will pick up a pre-owned copy, rather than new. "casuals" nearly always go for new for some reason. This phenomenom is something that doesn't affect the PC chart, due to the lack of pre-owned games.
If you had worked at some of the midnight launches i have, you wouldn't believe that console hardcore gamers don't exsist.

errr i specifically said they do exist.I thought Europe was hardcore PC gamers that get neglected UK where i live isn't as much it used to be (sigh) i'll stay a pc gamer as long as it stays good.
Microsoft show some more bloody support for the pc ok you've spent a ton on vista and tried to make it tailored to games as well now are you going to support instead of that box you keep bleeting on about its not even that Gaming toaster of pc games stop taking the pc territory.
