MS getting cozy with Square Enix?

Nine out of ten people would love to see Final Fantasy XIII come to the 360. Go on, be honest, you would. So any news that could make that a possibility is welcome, regardless of how strong the rumour rating is. The latest news is that a Square Enix-published game, Project Sylpheed, could be coming to North American shores in the Summer, but guess who is supposedly publishing and developing the game?

MS is cozy with every console maker--they make games for Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft platforms.

But it doesn't mean that they'll make all their previously exclusive titles multiplat. Historically, SE hasn't operated like that.

Nintendo on the other hand is the one that many people overlook in the Square-Enix situation.  I'm surprised people are just brushing off the fact that Nintendo and Square-Enix are rekindling their relationship now.  Look at the DS.  There are what, five Final Fantasy games on the platform now? (and I say that literall)  AND a new IP AND DragonQuest IX?  Nintendo is most likely snatching up Kingdom Hearts III, and IMO it would make sense for Square-Enix to do a "FFXIII: Versus" type game for the Wii and 360 and then keep the originally named game on the PS3.

And that the head of square enix hates american made consoles.

And that FFXIII is rumored to use TWO 50gb blu ray discs.........Knowing square enix, they won't compress any audio, video, etc.....so 100gbs of DVD9 would be about 9-10 DVD9 discs.....which is ALOT more expensive than producing 2 blu ray discs.

Or sony owning 20% of square enix stocks......sony has alot of influence of square enix

There are going to be a few FFXIII related things......the real thing, FFXIIIVS, the MMORPG (FF related? I know this untitled square enix project is for the 360,PC...not sure if it's announced for the PS3 yet), and I believe there's still a 4th unknown project[FFVII remake? Cell phone FFXIII games?].

And I know FF sells in america......but Japan is such a bigger market, and it's guarenteed that everyone will pick up a copy. And if you can keep your countrymen happy, you're good.

Historically speaking ... you are so wrong, FF7-8 went to pc, if ONE japaneze company made games for pc was that one, FF11 on 360, FFCC on Wii-GC, DQ on DS !!!, well if ONE company would port to 360 that would not be capcom, but Square actually

I am expecting an announcement in summer, unless SOny manages somehow and makes FF13 timed exclusive, as for making exclusive, will never happen, could not possibly cover for 3 million sales on 360 or more
