MS has Halo and Forza for Series X launch, What does Sony have for PS5?

MS has Halo Infinite and Forza 8 at Series X launch. (very likely)

What does Sony have for PS5 launch? Upgraded Last gen game isn't going to cut it. So do you think they have something up their sleeves?

They'll probably have some cross gen games lined up just like MS does.

Senua looks pretty amazing too .... that's 3 not on PS5 confirmed, and I guess some of those other studios they bought will have games ready too.

Microsoft come back to PC has been one of most impressive thing this gen and in upcoming generation. so expecting microosft to own sony next gen. because all sony will have are third person movie games over and over again.

I'm sure they'll have something. GG's have been pretty quiet lately and so has Insomniac. Then there's From, who could drop Bloodborne 2. Yeah I'm not too worried.

Isn't Sony usually little bit of a late boomers? Sony PlayStation 5 will be a great console, as will the XSX will be,people who think otherwise are just being foolish.

Let's wait and see. I have no idea how strong Sony's release line-up will be, but I think they'll want to come out swinging, much like MS did with their recent announcement.

Yeah who could forget the bombshells they had with the launch titles for the PS4, you could say they have a Knack for these things lol.

Most likely won't matter as I expect PS5 and Sony to heavily invest in PSN/psnow and follow path of Gamepass/XGS. Acquire studios along with building/growing its studios where they can handle multiple projects and have consistent content every few months.

E3 next summer is going to be wild.

With the rumors going around that Guerrilla Games 2nd studio is working on a new SOCOM game that is all that matters. Still a rumor to this point, but that would be huge. SOCOM is waaaaaaaay better than Halo... well, as long as it's like the first 2 or Confrontation.

Rumor has it that it's like SOCOM Confrontation with full map destruction similar to Battlefield. That would certainly make things interesting, but also worries me that they are pushing for the respawn side of things instead of one life. Either way, SOCOM is life, so bring it on. If the rumors are true and it does wind up being SOCOM 5 (or a similar name) it could very well be a launch or near launch title.

The so called leaks say it has been in production since mid-late 2017 which would very likely mean if it's true they are targeting a launch window. It makes since too.. SONY is on record saying they want to push harder on the multiplayer side of things next gen, and with one life being hot again right now and tactical shooters and battle royale games leading the scene it is a real possibility if you think about it. They have plenty to build on with the SOCOM core, and MAG was ahead of its time with the battle royale idea.

They could easily take those aspects and have a game that competes with Halo, CoD, and BF again. They just have to do it right this time and not copy that SOCOM IV trainwreck... I hesistate to even call that a SOCOM game.

I hope the rumors are true. Having SOCOM back in their arsenal (if done right), especially if dropped at the beginning of the gen would be a true dagger to MS, and would help sway those on the fence to go with SONY next gen. It all rides on how the game turns out though. If it's anything like 1, 2, or Confrontation then it will KILL IT. Add in new touches like Battle Pass, cosmetics, gun skins, new operators, etc. and it could easily be a killer app.

Syphon Filter is another game that has been hinted at a lot recently over the past couple years. A SOCOM and Syphon Filter announcement would be bad ass.

They will have cinematic walking, man grunts, a child tagging along, some (not) emotions.

on fab and e3 2020 we will see...im sure it will have some amazing games:) hype is sooo high now.

You're forgetting that Microsoft also showcased Hellblade 2 along with the XSX. It's not said to be a launch title, but it is definitely something neat and fresh away from the main 3.

As an answer to the OP- we'll see.

Sony has been incredibly quiet about the PS5 and it's games. They could just be playing it safe for a big reveal.

But then, it could also mean that they don't have much to show. One thing with Sony, MS, and Nintendo is that when they have something, they usually talk about it quite a bit by teasing it. But Microsoft is in a position now to where they can openly talk about what they have coming. But then again, they are also in a position where they NEED to if they wanna get their foot in the door next gen.

But the fact they've unveiled the XSX with two big hitting 1st party games, and Sony has barely done anything might signal that they be in a tighter run this gen. But who knows? Only Sony does. But we'll know for sure soon enough.

No announcement yet but its safe to assume The Gost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2 + multiplayer will get a PS5 remaster launch.

Confusing question considering both Halo Infinite and Forza 8 are cross-gen titles also on OG XB1.

Considering those games count and aren't exclusive to XSX:

PS5 has Final Fantasy 7 Remake, TLOU2 and Ghosts of Tsushima already confirmed 2020 games for PS5 launch as cross-gen titles and Godfall as a fully next gen console exclusive launch title.

No doubt all PS4 titles will be 4k 60fps with all bells and whistles that apply. "Scaling" also counts for PS5 titles right or is that only a talking point that xbox and PC fans can use?

That's 4 launch titles before even finding out about any 1st party exclusive PS5 titles to Xbox's 2 and we already know ND is working on a stand alone multiplayer that is likely releasing at PS5 launch.

The next xbox is already FAR behind PS5 in terms of games. Games are not an area xbox guys can challenge Sony fans unless you're saying we can't count cross-gen games... which also means you can't count Halo Infinite or Forza 8, they're are out!
