wow this seems like a rip-off of the wii. i mean ye sure sony copied the motion sensing technology but they kept the deisgn original i.e. incorporating the idea into their joypad design. where as ms seems to be right out copying the wii-mote deisgn nd such. anyway they are late to the party but lets see how this turns out.

If this is true it might be good for Wii development. Instead of getting ports of PS2 games they can get ports of 360 games.

I really...really...really...don't know what to think of this.

But if the Wii's main selling point is control (pretty much the only difference between Gamecube and Wii beside exterior design) then MS as a business has a responsibility to their shareholders to offer this for their own system.

That is an artist's rendition. Its not a real MS mockup, since this is a rumor.

If the real thing looks anything like that, microsoft should just scrap it.

A good part of the Wiimote's success comes with it being standard in every console, and standard in (almost) every game.

If Microsoft releases this "Darwin", it's going to be very hard to get the mainstream audience to buy it.

I know that, but even as a mock-up it sucks the fail. Might as well have an artist do a mock up of a new car and not put any wheels on it.

Pretty much every console has had it's share of add on controllers. The PS3 already has the GUNCON3 which is basically designed for one game and cost $90. ROCK BAND and GUITAR HERO have specific controls.

If games start to support this control or even if it has it's own separate line of games I don't see how it will be destroying anything.

As I have said before if it makes selecting units quickly easier for RTS I would buy it. Just not sure if that will be the case.

Well the article also didnt state how M$ is making a Mii like channel to copy the wii as well. I hope M$ fails at this and people just walk away from this crap and buy a Ps3 or Wii. Cuz really who wants the middleman when you could have better power or innovative games?beinss
