Cool, little stunts like this used to be more common back in the early 90s between rival companies. It's died down somewhat ever since these mega non-gaming corporations got into the business like Sony and Microsoft. I hope this childish prankster spirit never dies in gaming.

Actually it means, you can invite your friends and throw a party for the differnece in price. Everyone gets a beer and can play games on the Xbox 360. Or you can stash the beer and drink it up alone. However I like a beer or two at the end of the day.

WOW Microsoft are a-holes for doing both of those stunts. I guess you're too young to remember classic stunts like this. A prime example thrown around is Segas we do waht Nintendon't campaig. Advertising like this is great, lighten up. :P

Advertising like this is great, lighten up. :PYeah, I also remember once when Nintendo had rented out a golf-course for a company golf outing, Sega had littered the course with golf-balls with the sega logo on them the night before, so the Ninty guys had problems finding their own golf balls on the course.

Sony "while they sleep it cures cancer" MS "they probably shouldn't fall asleep while one of your products is turned on, didn't your laptops batteries burst into flames?" Sony "uh...yeah, cost us a lot of money to recall them all" MS "yeah... it's okay man, have a beer, it's on us" Sony "thanks... we're pretty broke with the batteries and the PS3..."
