MS, Sony, Or Ninty: Which One You Least Care If Dropped Out Of Gaming Industry

If you had to choose, which one you'd vote out of the gaming industry? Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo?

Edit: guys, here is the imaginary scanario; a gun on your head, and the person holding the gun is asking you to choose which company will have the least impact if it goes out of the gaming industry. So make a wise decision. Go!..

But you made an "undecided" option for the poll, so we don't have to choose.  

Which would I care the least....SOny. But I think even though they are most times a leech...the gaming industry needs them. The industry needs all of them b/c they all bring something new to the table. And after all, competition is the best from of inspiration.

 You dont want The gaming industry to be like EA's Madden. Madden has no comp so they haven't impoved that game since 02!

I would choose, if I were either a fanboy or eager to create flamebait, that is. I just appreciate each company to much to just say " Aw *insert company name here" is more important than *insert other two company names here*. Maybe I've experienced the past consoles these three had to offer, so to my it would be somwhat of a betrayal to choose. Man, I really need to get a life :?

I don't know why people voted for Sony. PS1 and PS2 were two of the best consoles created, the PS3 was their first console mistake. You guys gave Nintendo a second chance why not Sony? I think all three contribute, I hope none of them drop out.Jin_the_samurai

They are offering inferior hardware this generation, and their first-party games use franchise labels that are well over 2 generations old.

If Sony dissappeared, I doubt the industry would so much as stagger.

Microsoft showcases amazing online gameplay, and Nintendo showcases innovative and fresh gameplay.  Sony tries to showcase what the other two have been doing 6 months after they did it.

P.S. applicants for managerial job opportunities usually have to answer questions related to whether or not they can handle laying off people wisely. I'll let you guess what's the right answer to the question "would you be able to fire one of your 3 favoirte employees?".

I see Nintendo continuing to release iritations of these older generation games solely due to a loyal fanbase that needs to quench their endless desire for them and nothing more. You can tell that they market the new Zelda or the new Mario only to this demographic. Not that these games are bad, but you are saying is absolutly correct and it is one of the negative aspects of Nintendo's grand scheme of marketing. The whole "inferior hardware issue" depends only on what the consumer wants in his/her console. My philosopy is that as long as you have fun with a game, it don't matter how many pixels a console can support. I guess I'm just a dying breed of gamer that can appreciate game/consoles for what they are without being a feature/graphics "whore".

Microsoft because now that Windows Live is launching, Microsoft can just publish their first-parties for computers (which I already own). And the third-parties would go to the Playstation (which I already own).

Well, isn't that funny. If people least cared about Sony dropping, according to the poll results, I wonder why there are alot of 360 vs. PS3, or Wii vs. PS3, or just PS3 slamming in general... if people didn't care about it? Seeing as the real war is between Nintendo and Microsoft, I'm surprised there aren't more threads on System Wars to highlight what people really think.

Microsoft: If they were to be suddenly obliterated from this universe, the world will probably go into a huge panic thanks to Windows being the most widely used OS and everyone will switch to macs, costing billions of dollars in the transition.

Now if it were only the Xbox division, the PC can pick up what's left of them...if there's any left after what I'd do to them.

Nintendo: Not much would happen if they were to be wiped off the universe and the world would be able to get over it quickly since there are two other major consoles plus the PC.

Being a Nintendo fan however, I would miss Nintendo way too much and end up playing every single Nintendo-developed game I have. Either that, or I figure out the concepts of time travel, the countless theories, and find a way to travel back in time.

Sony: Their destruction would mean a fatal blow to several media industries. Sure, there are other companies there to soften the blow and take Sony's place, but it will take time to recover.

Since we're talking only about the gaming industry, I can't say I'll miss them much.

In other words: In terms of impact on the world, I would destroy Nintendo first, Sony second, and Microsoft last. In terms of just their gaming industry and my opinions on their gaming sectors, I'd destroy Microsoft first, Sony second, and Nintendo last.

But it really isn't that hard (morally) to lay off the person who can't do his/her job properily out of the two who are competent enough to work efficiently.

You know, you're not helping me here :P . But you did say "asked you to fire 3 of your favorite empleyees" So taking into consideration those are just people with those respective names, I would definitely fire all of them.

Or, if my overall ranking was preatty much up there over time, I would probably kill him become CEO of that certain company and not only would I not fire anyone, but I would also hire a guy named Sega into the mix.

Also, just in case you're wondering........ I'm not a part time killer, professional killer or any in and all certain type of killer.

Nintendo, since they seemed to be more concerned about making senior-citizens interested in gaming then making actual good games like the SNES/N64 days.
