It was like that 20 year old movie "The Money Pit" only without funny Tom Hanks or Shelly Long. The thing was bulky and ugly and costing them a fortune! It would have kept people from wanting a 360! People know of the hardware glitches. Xbox 2001-2005 GOOD BYE!! X360 2005-Forever!
yeah, they were smart to launch early and take the lead but i think its not good for us gamers, now they will want to launch early again next gen to ensure a leadstart, and that could mean a cycle of 4 years between consoles.......mmmm
due to the fact that they didnt have a good manufacturing proccess, it cost them 4 billion dollars by the time 360 came out That includes the games sold, just to give you a sense of how much they lost. the only profitable time for the xbox 1 was around the time halo 2 came out.

I mentioned that. I know you mentioned that, but the other reasons don't matter. That was the only reason Ms took it off the market, they were losing money from it.
They did it because of all of the XBox modders. People were buying them, modding them, and storing hundreds of games, emulators, movies, and software on the hard drive. The mod scene was growing, and all they could do was discontinue the XBox.

Only fools buy a next gen console to play old games, sorry but its true. If your playing old games on a next gen console, unless it was absolutely amazing game, your next gen console doesnt have good games.

Since when aren't people buying the 360? Most people love them. Most gamers aren't buying the PS3 on the other hand. It's a cheap blu-ray player, but an expensive lackluster video game console. They messed up big time with the PS3 in the gaming department. It may eventually keep up with the 360, but imagine if they had put a good video card in it and put more thought into the gaming side of it. As of now, the PS3 just is not worth it as a gaming console. I'm waiting for a huge price drop before I pick one up. I just can't justify paying $700 for a gaming console (with tax and HD cable)

they were less than 20,000 ,it wasnt for that =) Everyone I know with an XBox has it modded. I seriously don't know one person with an XBox that isn't modded. It's a MUCH bigger problem than you realize.
