MS: "You've Never Seen a Holiday Lineup Like This Before," and More in Q&A!

"I've been working in the Xbox business for 15 years and I've seen a lot of great games and lot of great lineups. But I don't think we've ever had a holiday like what we have this year where not only is Halo 5 coming, but we have Gears of War, we have Rare Replay, we have Forza 6, we have Rise of the Tomb Raider; just kind of a non-stop lineup of AAA exclusives titles. In addition to an incredible lineup of big, third-party blockbusters like Call of Duty: Black Ops III andFallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront. So if you're a gamer, you've never really seen a holiday lineup like this before. For us, we would measure success by game sales and people playing the games; and what people are saying about the games. Whether it's media reviews or what fans are saying. So far, we're seeing really high quality launches and good quality feedback from our first few releases and we expect that to continue through the holiday."

This isn't saying much. Also Sony's Paris Week was on par with MS Gamescom Conference or as many have said it was better.

It was ok at best imo, I only cared for Rare Replay and Gears.

MS will get my coin on TR and Scalebound.

Seems both Microsoft and Sony exclusive offerings are pretty thin this year. I would give the nod to Microsoft right now just because they have Forza, Tomb Raider, and Halo. Sony doesn't have squat.

I'll pick up Rare Replay, Forza 6 and Gears come black friday. Hopefully they're pretty dirt cheap.

On the xbox. Which is correct.

They have a good holiday lineup up. I'm going to get most of their exclusives except for Forza cause I don't like racing games. I will give a nod to MS for turning things around back towards games and away from being the all-in-one console.

On Metacritic both Forza 6 and Halo 5 are high 80's. That is pretty close to AAA.

But to answer you question, according to GS the PS4 has about twelve 8 rated games. But that's not the point. MS's so called greatest lineup has only maxed out at an 8 with an average score of 7.6!

They are right: I've never seen a game like Tomb Raider gone exclusive before.

They bragged on a t.v advert that I just saw. CoD DLC, AC Missions and Uncharted: Stripped Content Edition were all said to be the best exclusives this holiday. What a slap in the face to PS4 owners.

Microsoft is going to lose badly in November and December, but hey they might win October so that's something.

Those exclusive PS4 bundles and price drop is all Sony needs this Holiday season.

Are you serious? You are really grasping here. Sony has said that the first party holiday lineup is a little sparse.
