Hopefully it is more like the first game, not like the last two. At the very least I hope it's nothing like the third.soulitaneAgreed on all fronts, just make it much longer.
Derp nvm, didn't realise there was more than one page of tweets.
I could definitely get behind another decent Fable seeing as the first is one of my all time favourites. Lots of fond memories of that game. 2 was pretty good, and I'm playing through 3 for the first time at the moment and it's not nearly as bad as some people say it is.
Still has that brilliant Fable wit, beautiful music and excellent characters. Didn't realise what a blinding cast of actors they had for Fable III; Fassbender, J. Cleese, Stephen Fry, Wossy and the list goes on.
Though the game has been dumbed down considerably since the first game, and there are some pretty appalling framerate issues in certain areas. I'd give it a solid 7.5-8.0.
Needless to say, I'm very interested in how this Fable game wil develop. The series has such great potential but Lionhead seem to squander it in many small ways.

If it's anything like the last 3 titles, count me out. rjdofuBut of course. You are negative over anything xbox related.
Just give in lolJust watched the Fable Legends announcment trailer, i'm sad to say i'm actually hyped -_-.
I really don't want to want an X1.

If it's anything like the last 3 titles, count me out. rjdofuErr, yeah, it probably is a bit similar to the last three games in the series. They're not going to go the direction of Cooking Mama
Vid is up at IGN, looks greatSpartan070Vid spoiled it for me a bit. I'm not very interested in a co-op MMO esque brawler thing. I'd prefer a heavy focus on story and location. Not a mindless arena fighter.
Could be really good, but not what I'm into at all.

By "the last 3 titles" i mean Fable 2, Fable 3 and Fable the Journey.
What's this TC? Coincidence that it looks like Fable?

Thunder Chief from Killer Instinct 3
No just no.
Even If I adamently refused to get an Xbox dOne I won't ever purchase another Lionhead game or Peter Molyneux game again.
Fable 1 and the lost chapters was an amazing game it showed character and was fun, It didn't matter that it hadn't delivered on the most moron promises Molyeux made it delivered on what was possible an amazigly fun game experience but then Fable 2 and 3 were just utter shit from characters, to overused british humor, lame story, and moral choices that in the end meant absolutely nothing.
F*** lionhead and Peter Molyneux.
Damn that trailer made it look good.
Need more information though. I hope it's nothing like the last game, and even then more like the first than second

There's a new Fable! Lionhead Studios is working on an exclusive new entry in its action role-playing series.
Called Fable Legends, the game is headed to Xbox One as an exclusive. You can play with up to three friends via co-op or alone with three A.I. companions. The game also lets you play as the villain, controlling the evil beasts as well as the various traps and tricks the heroes face.
The game also uses SmartGlass for tablets and smartphones, allowing players to track progress and read up on quests. Villains can use SmartGlass as a second screen, allowing both good and evil to play co-op on the same sofa.

My hype's been defalted. Doesn't sound great to me.
Very interesting. I hope they go back to the formula of Fable 2, or even the original Fable. I liked the story and the controls of Fable 3, but the who emotion and touch thing sucked. So as long as they don't try to repeat those issues it should be good. Peter M being out the picture could be a very positive thing.
Really liked all the Fable games, (even the third, don't judge me), but this doesn't really appeal to me.
The gameplay was always the weakest part of Fable, what made the games enjoyable was the worlds, the art style, characters, writing etc, they always managed to create a world that drew me in. Obviously they were flawed games and I understand the hate they get to an extent, but they also had qualities few other games could match.
Going for online co-op makes gameplay a priority, it's less about immersion and more about tight mechanics in those kind of games. Lionhead have never shown much ability in that area, by the time they got to Fable 3 combat felt like a complete afterthought tbh.
I'm going PS4 next gen, but a really strong single player Fable might have made me think twice.

I think they may benefit from a lack of Molyneux. I think they guy was/is quite a visionary, but his problem is actually having said visions manifest themselves in some meaningful way. In other words, he was a 6 foot tall bag of hot air. He meant well, but he'd always focus on insignifigant things. Like hand-holding and "building relationships" with random NPCs in Fable III. What. The. F*ck. Is. The. Point.
He steered a lot of much needed attention towards stuff that just didn't matter, and with him gone, I think they can focus on actual mechanics.
And I agree with all of the above. I must have played Fable 1 for upwards of 50 hours back in the day(one playthrough), trying to discover every possible secret. And it was a relatively small gameworld, but I always managed to squeeze more time out of it.
Anyone remember the oh-so-arduous process in getting the Frying Pan?
Online only,and 4 player co-op apparently.
OneInchMan99
Worst Fable yet probably and will delay Fable 4 indefintly, plus we dont even know if Fable 4 will be garbage or not now
Very unfortunate, xbox one is the only system i dont consider buying at all
its probably online only because they started development with the knowledge of xbox ones original online requirements and it was too late to change the game.

It is not a Fable game, it is a multiplayer action title that is nothing like Fable games
Imagine Halo multiplayer dressed with a Fable coating

Yep, sounds god awful. Good one MS.
Halol Flopza and Fable
Same old rehashes from M$ except they get worse with every game.

Indeed
A Fable 4 that was more like Fable 1 would have made a difference
This online only spin off only makes me not want xbox one at all

I actually quite like Molyneux, the industry could do with less focus testing and more visionaries, but yeah it must have been a nightmare for his team to try and turn those big ideas into some kind of functioning game. Molynuex was in his element in the early days of bedroom programmers, and tiny dev teams. I don't think the transition to triple-A budgets and huge dev teams did him any favours. I'm still going to hold out hope for a truly great Fable game at some point in the future. A huge, richly detailed Fable with solid and rewarding gameplay would pretty much be my perfect game. Seems less likely now with the direction of the new game unfortunately.I'm still going to hold out hope for a truly great Fable game at some point in the future. God yes. Give the people what they want Lionhead.
