Multiple Pokemon Gray and 3DS hints turn up

There are at least three mentions of a new Pokémon game floating around, including one Nintendo's latest press release regarding sales figures, specifically linked with the 3DS.

Siliconera received a New Year's card from The Pokémon Company, which makes mention of "even more amazing games" in the coming year than 2011, which brought four Japan-only releases as well as the western launch of Pokémon Black & White.

Meanwhile, GoNintendo has an image of a Pokémon tease splash from the pages of CoroCoro, which asks "What mystery is hidden in Kyurem?" and promises "Kyurem's unseen power will be revealed". Kyurem, according to Bulbapedia, is the third member of the legendary Pokémon trio featured in – and on the covers of – Pokémon Black & White.

Kurem is grey. The other two are black and white. You see what we're saying here. We won't be terribly shocked by a Pokémon Gray announce for 3DS in 2012.

And with Pokemon Grey, the lead the 3DS will have on Vita will only get wider and wider.

even though I have White, if Grey turns out to be a 3DS game and not a DS game I will buy it.

I imagine, (if they decide to put Pokemon Grey as a 3DS game instead of a DS game) it would make a clearer image (than what DS games show up on the 3DS) I believe and the screen will be wider, but I can't see the graphics changing all too much from the DS games.

Yes I know it got horrible reviews...but I really like the game for some reason. I have no idea why. I guess it has a certain charm to it.

I hope they would improve the battle animations. Not necessarily remake them into full 3D battles (though that could be cool), but at least fix up how very low-res and pixelated the sprites are.

It's basically a simplified action RPG where you directly control the Pokemon with two moves (you can learn / train for more) and you fight against other Pokemon.

The game is made by Ambrella...who's known for making sketchy games in the past.

But that doesn't faze me. The graphics suck, the soundtrack is awesome, the story is very silly (then again, it is Pokemon), and the gameplay is addicting.

However, it did get low reviews (GameSpot gave it an exceptionally low review). It's definitely not for everyone.

Oh, and they're not real Pokemon...they're "toy Pokemon."

Seriously...I adore the soundtrack. For an obscure game made by a really sketchy developer, they made one of the most incredible soundtracks when it comes to Pokemon.

When you get heavy metal in Pokemon games, you know you've come across a really special soundtrack.

I really wish they'd expand on the combat elements. More than four moves per critter, learnable traits to replace pre-existing ones, and a bigger emphasis on group combat.

It's a massacre. It's almost unfair, Nintendo isn't even giving the Vita a chance here.charizard1605

That's the point, Nintendo should announce it as soon as possible to impress 3rd party publishers by showing them that 3DS is a healthy platform that will continue to sell hardware and 3rd party software (Capcom already has 2x 2 million sellers basically).

This is needed to ensure 3DS gets a normal 6 year cycle and to achieve this, the thing requires software that drives hardware without drought periods like Wii 2011 and Nintendo can't single handedly support two systems like this gen as 3DS+Wii U require vastly more resources to develop for.

What surprises me is that they did, in full force. 3DS' impressive lineup of games, both from a sales and core support perspective, and the mass hirings going on at Nintendo currently for HD development is the first step. At E3 we're gonna flip out when they announce Wii U in its complete form.

I honestly have not played one since gold and silver, except for the heargold remake. Honestly, B/W do not look that different from HG/SS. Maybe I am wrong though. I just cannot STAND the sound effects. The only thing worse is Goldeneye Rogue Agent on the DS :P.

What they should do with Pokemon is bring back the Pokemon Following you 'gimmick' (It gave you more of an attachment to your Pokemon than just having them in Pokeballs.), More interactions with NPCs and Rivals (Black and White did a much better job with your Rivals, They seemed to be Following you more than just a random inconvenience at least that's how I felt about it), and SIDE QUESTS (out of all the Pokemon Games I've played there doesn't seem to be that many Side Missions to do, The Legendaries were a bit of a Side Quest, but really it was more Dungeon Crawling more than anything).

That's what I think they should add.

I wish Nintendo would make a Pokemon game that's like Pokemon Identity.

I love Pokemon for what it is but I really think they could do so much more with the battle system.
