Must play games that didn't get AAA reviews

Most of the time the reviewers get it right. But sometimes they miss a dimond in the rough that is true masterpiece. Let's talk about some of them.

I mostly play PC, so all mine are on the PC:

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. Has 82.2% at Gamerankings because of a lot of bugs at the time of release. But after 6 patches and a lot of community mods, this game is an absolute masterpiece and easily in my top 5 favorite games of all time.

Diablo II: Has 88.6% on gamerankings. A good score, but it doesn't reflect the fact that this game is still being played almost 10 years after it's release. I recently played it again with friends and logged another 50 hrs....

Call of Duty 2: Has 87.6% on gamerankings. Again a good score, but this game is still in the top3 FPS played online 5 years after it's release (according to xfire). Pretty impressive considering how many FPS's are released each year. This game will never die.

Hitman 2 Silent Assassin: 85.5% on gamerankings. Easily in my top 5 games of all time.

I've missed a bunch. Let's fill them in.

I agree with all the other noted games in the OP and I'll add to that list Red Orchestra Ost Front, Killing Floor, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Neverwinter Nights 2, Fallout 1 and 2.

Addendum: Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey, Katamari Damacy, Shadow of the Colossus, and We Love Katamari are MUST PLAY games.

first mistake was playing a multiplat not named Dragon Age on Ps3 but anyways I played the 360 version, game was amazing, story telling was even better . I agree with Uncharted love that game.

Mirror's Edge, Uncharted:Drake's Fortune, Socom Confrontation, Burnout Paradise, BlazBlue, Tekken 6, and Battlefield Bad Company.

You should get a PS3 most of its games are AAA. But if you must settle for below AAA the PS3 is still a good choice. With Uncharted, R&C, Motorstorm etc.

Trine- Probab;y one of the best physics based games

Cryostasis- This has an A score on metacritics ( gamespot though did justice this game by giving it an 8 ) but optimization and bugs issues aside is one of the best adventure/fps games with amazing atmosphere and is an AAA in my books

Kings bounty- one of the best turn based rpg's if not the best with great art style and addictive gameplay and should have gotten an AAA

I'm too busy playing with KZ2 and UC2 (best game of all time). I have every PS3 exclusive but the ones I don't like I haven't played it or played very little of it. I bought them just to support the PS3. Maybe when I have more time I will give it a try.

Kingdom Hearts 2. It deserved WAY more than an 8.6.

And dont get me started on Borderlands... Somebody get the guy from ign to go to the gamespot office building and "handle some business" if you know what I mean. lol!!!!!!!!

Condemned: Criminal Origins. It was my favorite launch game of this gen, and is now cheap and still awesome.
