Honestly, i missed out on the first modern warfare. but i still played it my friends house.

Why should i get this game with a bunch of new kill streaks, death streaks, guns, maps, etc.

I seriously think im gonna spend my money on other games, but will probably end up getting it cz of my friends. The reason im sayign other games is because i was kind of tired of shooters, ex: kz2, rsv2. So yeahim looking forward to demons souls, u2, ac2. Somethign for change.

Why is this game so hyped (GOTY, etc), new engine?

Can you guys convince me or give me goood reasons to get it???

You'll support Activison, and they're going through some hard times right now.

You shouldn't. If you've played COD4 then you'll have most likely played this one.

I seriously doubt that :? How many people are buying Rock Band and Guitar Hero? That's what I thought.

Get it to experience a highly cinematic game, with outstanding visuals and set pieces, and a thrilling storyline. There are few games that are as intense all Call of Duty. Since you missed out on the previous one, you will be particularly impressed by the MP too.

The fact is that CoD 4 and the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 are both easy games to pick up and play. Someone had a response that they dont even have CoD 4, bujt when they play at their friends house, they can score as well as most other players. I find this to be totally true. I have played quite a bit of CoD 4 myself and am an average player. However, I can totally not play for weeks and then play one dayand still score 12-15 kills in a round easy. Granted, those that are really good at CoD 4 are in fact "really good", but it is a very accessible game for everyone to have fun. I suspect MW 2 will be more of the same. Personally, I am very curious about Operation Flashpoint which comes out ahead of MW 2 and BFBC 2 hit early next year. MW 2 may be a rental for me.

You shouldn't. If you didn't invest a lot of time in CoD 4, or don't like what they're adding/changing, it won't be worth your money to buy CoD 4 2.

I, on the other hand, feel that the new additions are worth what I'll pay.

Sure we can all hate COD 4 MW and MW 2 for its noob-friendly, casualized mechanics, but at the end of the day, Activision's pockets will be full, and 8 year olds will be owning with their M16's and or similar burst-firing guns.

Easy to pick up? Whatever...I don't have hours a day to spend online, so cod is perfect for me. By the way, there is a huge difference between people who are good at cod, and people who just started playing. Try playing modes other than core team deathmatch or headquarters and you'll notice the difference.
