My Big Choice This Year

Ok i have a xbox360 and also xbox live, but im debating on buying a Ps3, but i have heard there is a few problems with the playstation3 online... can anyone please tell me whats wrong with playin the playstation 3 online? and also can people tell me the ups and downs between the ps3 and 360

I dont own a 360 so i cant tell you all the differences between live and PSN. But the PS3 online is entirely functional.

WAY too much overlap for games. It's not the worst combo, though; that would be the PC - 360 combo.

I own a PS3 and Xbox 360 but I haven't played too much online on my consoles. The online stuff I tend to do on PC. That being said, I can tell you that the PS3 has some pretty amazing exclusives and more are on the way. If you get a PS3, don't forget to check out Ratchet and Clank (both the one out now and the one coming out later this year), Resistance 1 and 2, Infamous, Demon Souls. Later on they'll be releasing God of War 3 (a true must have) and the God of War collection (very good if you haven't played the previous 2 GoW games) and Heavy Rain. I know there's a few other big exclusives but I can't think of them right now.

I'm not really into movies, but if you are and you have a HDTV BluRay is good for movies.

Because a lot of the games on the PS3 are on the 360. If you want to play the same game with a different controller, be my guest, but if you want some brand new controller, with brand new games, than get a Wii or DS.

is there more lag on the ps3 online? and to anyone thats played xbox live and the ps3 online is the ps3 as active as xbox live because there is ALWAYS people on live so it it the same for the ps3

I sold my wii for a ps3 and already have a 360. And it's the best combo to be honest. You have bluray and a lot of exclusive ps3 games and all the amazing multiplatform games + 360 exclusives. Wii has nothing really appealing.

Well, ps3 online and 360 online are different. Most people have 360 so if you have friends they probably wanna play on 360. Ps3's online works well and supports a lot of players but not as many people speak on the mic as they do on 360. Ps3 is definitely a good buy though and I have got a lot of fun out of mine. I honestly use it a lot more than my 360 and only sign on to 360 if my friends wanna play gears or something.
