So I got a 360 and Ps3. I was bored so I played both versions. I played the 360 one first and then the ps3 version. However I had to do this again to make sure I knew what I was seeing. The 360 version has a better frame rate and better graphics than the ps3 version. However, the brightness on the ps3 version is much better than the 360 version and it is evident when using your flashlight through that one dark area in the demo.
When playing the 360 version I could barely see anything and would often be leaning on walls due to too much darkness. In the ps3 version I made it through the dark area in a flash and it was extremely easy to get through. However, the brightness on the ps3 version may be a little "too bright" that it may take that scare factor away from the game so hopefully they fix this in time for release. So that's it folks, this is a comparison from an unbiased viewpoint.

hahaha I didn't know I had to conduct an experiment. but yea everyone can play it for themselves (if they own a ps3 and 360) but that is what I found by playing both versions. 360 version had better graphics/framerate while ps3 had the better brightness for the darker areas. but the ps3 version had a lousy framerate. and it stayed constant. the overall game on ps3 seemed slower.

Nah brightness is fine on the 360.

But that framerate was very good on the 360.

Didn't play ps3 so i'm not saying anything.

Sorry dude no vid no buying the crap here. I just played the demo 3 times never had a problem with the fps and ive been a pc gamer/moderfor years so i know what im talking about. But did any one els notice your Character does not cast a shadow? Im assuming in any version this is try cept maybe the pc. Also despite popular word will use FEAR as a example watch that comparison vid the 360 has horrible particle effects while ps3 is on par with the pc. Also Jerico is a UT3 build but i do think they are using a 36/pc bias build because both plats are so similar. I'm waiting on UT3 though since the ps3 is the proprietary plat for the title and all the grunt work has been put it. All pics and Vids are from the PS3 version.

I noticed 360 games are real dark on a CRT but on a LCD that problem seems to go away. My brother has an old HD front projection and the games are a lot lighter on there too than my old 32 inch CRT HD. If all else fails you can adjust the brightness on your set. I like it when the game gives you a picture that lets you line up where your settings should be.

I like how people give the TC crap when they can just go find out for themselves the truth. Why should it be a surprise that the 360 version has a higher framerate and better graphics. Thats consistent with pretty much every multiplat so far this generation.

Yeah, that's mostly common in multiplat between 360 and the PS3.

Well the 360 version DOES have better framerates...but its just a demo. I know we have all seen it before when it comes to multiplats...but its just a demo lets wait till it actually gets released before we condemn it.

Also REGARDING: The brightness

I think the brightness/light level on the 360 version is appropriate, at least in the demo of the game...uh hello? Its supposed to be dark. More brighter doesnt mean better, more often than not the "brighter" setting of the PS3 often makes the colors look washed out.

Anyway I had high hopes for this game...but after playing the demo I was kind of turned off. We all know all the multiplats will perform better on the 360 (so far) so for any type of multiplat game I gonna get it for my 360. My PS3 is reserved for PS3 exclusives and as a Blu-Ray player...as a big PS3 fan, Ive made peace with the fact that pretty much every multiplat released so far is better on the 360. Maybe that will change in the future...who knows?

I thought the xbox version was a wee bit dark but you can go into the option and changed the brightness.

With games like UT3, Haze and Killzone 2 running fine on Ps3's I fail to see how they can't get a steady frame rate in Jericho...no really someone explain :P

oh and you can usually change the brightness settings in games so being too bright or too dark isn't exactly that big a deal...

Can someone confirm if the 360 has a better framerate than the PS3

im too lazy to re download it on my 360

but the PS3 versions framerate was just too inconsistent for my likings

R-Dot-Yung

The 360 does have the better frame rate. The 360 version is darker, and it appears to have more color( you notice it in the beginning corridor with the red light in the cave). The PS3 version is brighter and easier to see. I found myself not knowing where I was going in the flash light part on the 360 version, where as the PS3 versionit was a bit easier. Other than that, all other aspects of the game are the same, with the exception of the sound being a bit better on the PS3(I could hear things clearer on the PS3 then on the 360, and actually makes it more eerie for the PS3). It really isn't a huge difference between the two.

I wasn't really too impressed with the game. A spirit controlling members of a team doesn't really appeal to me. Looks like you're stuck with the same weapons throughout the whole game.

I also played both versions, and you're wrong. They both have the same graphics and brightness. The only difference is that when you start it up, the Ps3 version says "press START button", where the 360 version says "press START." Also, in the settings go into video, in there you may adjust to brightness as you please. I zoomed in on textures with the sniper scope for each version and looked at each, the detail is EXACTLY the same, character models are EXACTLY the same as well as the textures on them. Frame rate is also the same on each version.

So the PS3 verison has an extra word? That means it's superior.
