GT:HD was a free game give it a break you cant expect the same from a free game then a 60 dollar game, same with GT: prequal as far as we know its still a downloadable game and wont be over 10 to 20 buck or it might be free, And we dont know what GT: 5 yet has to offer, so i think stop putting these useless threads up, it seems as if lemms are in denial, their both good.......

Honestly I love racing games and since I'm a 360 guy, will probably pick up this game. But I just looked at GT5 pics, and compared to them, this game isn't even close. If you show GT5 pic to an average guy, you'd probably have to tell him that it's a game. Not the same case here. The graphics are still amazing, but GT5, from what I saw, is on another level.manningbowl135

It looks more like Rad Racer for the NES, but I think Rad Racer had better car models....just slightly better though.

Forza 2 does look great, but unfortunately GT 5 will look better than Forza 2, with more cars onscreen to boot.

GT 5 will destroy Forza 2 graphically = FACT

Why use offscreens when you have a great way to get clean photos out of the game without mucking with the colors and contrast?

Well, youre comparing a game that is out for a few months with a game that is still in development????, of course its going to have better graphics, just like Forza 3 is going to be better looking than GT5 and so on.But the graphics dont differ much gap between the twoto make it anownage. By the time this game is released, Forza 3 might be on its way aswell....lol

Now i understand why they need to use 2d models for the environments, with all those highly detailed cars on the track.

GT is a true masterpiece in the visual department, but if 2004 is any indication then Forza is a much higher quality of Racer. Maybe this year Gran Turismo will be nominated for Best Driving Game.

And anyway, like iv been saying, Forza 2 is a sim, GT5 is an arcade. Forza 2s physics will be far better than gt5, the cars in Forza handle and move so realistically that you couldn't care less about the graphics, just afew hours ago i was messing around on forza 2 changing the car setup and not only did it change the handling completely, it changed the way the car reacted with the road that you could see in the replays. Lemmings are always going on about how great the damage modeling is, its nice to have but the more important part is having the cars performance change the more the car is damaged, and GTs have never really got that right, and even with the damage on in GT you can still use the other cars to get around corners without using the breaks. Unless it is confirmed that GT5 will have improved physics to the point were its on the same level as forza 2, i don't see the reason why its been hyped, after all ever other GT has looked good.

GT4 was released two years ago on the ps2. GT4 is to forza 2 as forza 2 is to GT5

well actually in most racing events the race cars that have been heavily modded from production cars will not have real headlights but stickers to save weight and because there is usually no regulation on the presence of headlights. thats why.

i didnt really notice that in F2 until you mentioned that though. nice spot!

but back to OP. you should learn by now that offscreen pics make the game look way different from onscreen pics. fyi. but good discussion overall. i do have to say that GT5 blows away forza though.
