My friend is turning PS3

Since his 360 got the 3 red lights,he doesn't want to go to the trouble of dealing with microsoft,and he also is starting to think halo 3 is the only good exclusive game for the system,and that its not worth it to spend another $400 CAD for another system just for the sake of 1 game.He will be buying his PS3 in January.

Your thoughts?

Personally,I think its smart,since the PS3 only has a .02% failure rate,compared to the 360's 33%,so he can be assured the PS3 will last longer.

I went to Bestbuy and the 360 on display had RROD, the Nintendo Wii section was filled with little kids, and the PS3 section had alot of PS3.

Why would it cost him another $400 to stay with the 360? Doesn't he just get his 360 fixed/replaced for free? It wouldn't cost him a cent to stay with the 360.

Also, I feel sorry for him that he got the RROD, and I know first hand that Microsoft's customer support is crap, so it's understandable that he wouldn't want to deal with them. Still though, I think he's making a stupid decision, really stupid actually, because he's basically throwing his $400 investment away and getting a system that has no good games on it instead.

And if anyone is wondering,yes,he's tried the towel trick,but it didn't work.

Chances are it probably didn't happen. Making things up isn't exactly new to this forum.

Trust me,it happened.From the reviews of the 360 I've been reading online,I'm sure my friend isn't the only one to get the rrod.

it depends, if he has a decent pc, great choice.

if not, he might miss out on a lot.

The games weren't in order or anything,but I really do enjoy playing Lair,but just because its number 1 doesn't mean its my favourite,I didn't think about putting them in order.

I know. It burns. Ugh. Lair on that list is like saying "Here, take my credibility and kick it in the balls!"

The only good thing Lair has about it is the ability to play it via remote on the PSP. I thought that was a brilliant idea, and if the game hadn't sucked, it would have been a good feature.

Gah! I keep getting modded for three word post, so I'll explain. You are insane for giving L.A.I.R. credit for anything. Gameplay being infinately more important than graphics is my opinion. However, there are several people who tell me Big Mamas House 2 is the best movie of all time and Pulp Fiction sucks. These people, like you, are insane, but to a greater extent. At least you didn't say L.A.I.R. is good, you just said that "well it does have some of the best graphics." On a forum not long ago someone said that their 360 had 2 defective lights so when he got RROD he rung MS but could not have it replaced because it only showed 2 red lights, I LOL'ed
