Pokemon Black & White combined has already sold 11 million units in just 1 month. I think its the fastest selling pokemon game yet.

Most excellent. Pokemon is one of my favourite RPGs ever, and this is the best in the series.. which means this is one of my favorite RPGs ever. Good stuff.

It deserves those sales. It's probably the best Pokemon game to date. Everything about it feels so good, especially the combat. It uses the same combat system, but it feels so powerful this time around.

I don't even like Nintendo lately but the new Pokemon games are beast. Such a deep game, with hours and hours of things to do and content. The battle system is extremely complex at its' core and it takes hours and hours to catch/trade to get them all. And there IS online btw. Honestly, this game packs in more value than most $60 console games. I can see why it's so popular. If you like RPGs and you've never played the Pokemon ones, you're missing out. Honestly I'm more surprised the game is popular with kids. Because there's so much complex stuff in the games that kids wouldn't understand and even the grammar used in the text is pretty advanced for kids.Messiahbolical-

I think the beauty of pokemon is that it's only as complex as you want it to be. You can get through the game and story and have a great time by just catching whatever pokemon look cool and giving them strong attacks and having a basic understanding of team balance and the weaknesses and resistances. But if you want to get in to it more, whether that just to have a stronger in-game party or start competetive battling you can start stat crunching and designing much more strategic movesets and teams.

I also like the writing more in the latest version. Maybe I just didn't pay as much attention to it in the previous editions, but this one seems to have more clever and funny writing much more similar to what you'd see in Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi/Earthbound rather than standard morning cartoon stories and humour.

The new Pokemon themselves are kind of meh for the most part, but after you beat the game you can start catching Pokemon from older gens. I thought it was cool how they made it so you can only catch the brand new Pokemon until you finish the story. Made it seem fresh, and makes you have to come up with new strategies and pokemon to use in your party. Also, in the new games there's not nearly as much grass/fire/water pokemon for the most part. There's a lot more dark/ghost/fighting/bug this time around, so it made it feel a lot different than the other games where those types were pretty rare.Messiahbolical-

Good, these games are great. Havent beaten Black yet, but it is amazing. Easily among the best pokemon games.
