I have received the orange box for PS3 as a present but already own it for 360 so before I take0 it back I thought I would do a comparison to see which is the better game. The PS3 version frame-rate is not as bad as the reviews say and it certainly does not make it unplayable. The load times are not gameplay ruining at all either but the biggest difference is without a doubt the graphics.

The 360 version looks as if it is running at a higher resolution and the textures are alot crisper and more detailed especially up close and with the PS3 version far away objects lose alot of detail compared the the 360 version.

Like I said it is still a great game on both systems but if you do own both systems get the 360 version.

I am not biased in any way and can admit that the 360 does seem to own the better versions of all ports and can now understand why the man from valve refuses to work on PS3 if this is the best that a team from EA can do with an old PC game that should run flawlessly on the PS3 with its state of the art CELL & RSX chips.

Please do not tell me that uncharted is state of the art, it runs with fixed camera angleswith ground textures that stream just metres in front of you,if you do not know what I mean, watch the grass pop up on all the levels).

Like I said I am not biased and Call of duty 4 on PS3 is something the IW programmers should be proud of but even I bought into sonys hype just as I did with the PS2 and its "emotion engine".

Look 360 is just an amazing console period, I'm a PS360 guy and 360 almost always gets the port that is of higher quality.

The one thing I disagree on is the power of PS3, nearly every developer has stated that it IS the more powerful console, so I'm going to take their word for it.

Is John Carmack a PS3 developer? No I don't think so, neither are the MANY developers their always mentioning when talking about the system itself. I'm not saying the difference is huge I'm just saying it's going to be enough to be noticeable in the next couple of years.

Yeah Carmack says it has more "peak power" but he doesn't really explain what that means. He also says he prefers working with the 360 and MS did a much better job with development tools.

What I cannot understand is why an old PC game like half life 2 can run alot better and load quickeron the 2 years older 360 with its DVD drive technology than the PS3 with its supposedly state of the art CELL & RSX chips and state of the art blu ray drive!

Sony screwed me over to get a blu ray player inder my TV in the hope that this would win them the format war, because they certainly were not interested in making a games machine!

True that. If you own both a PS3 and XBox 360, most people will just get the XBox 360 version. At least Haze should play on the PS3 with no issues, right?

Yea thats because 360 just kicks total ass period it's an awesome system hence the reason I bought it lol. I bought my PS3 for the same reason and the console has delivered graphically with Uncharted same as the 360 did last year around the same time with Gears of War. You can't expect a system to pull out all it's Aces within the first year of release but you can expect them to show at least 1 to push the hardware and Uncharted is that game. It's the best looking game on consoles period.

Well, even IGN agreed that the 360 version is better overall, its just fact for the Orange Box.

i got mine on Laptop for a lower price than the console versions and i can play it on 1440 * 900 and on max settings, so if you have a decent PC or laptop get it on that. But if you must get it on console, it looks like the 360 version is the only way to go.
