My In Game XMB Demostration (With Video)

Just wanted to show it off to people that haven't had a chance to check it out, also to see if there is any noticable lag (which while I was playing there wasn't)...

Not only am I lucky to have 2.40 but apparently I'm lucky nothing happened to my PS3.

lol and whats with when u go to party invite someone joins the party before u even send the invite. Heck it didn't look like u even sent one it looked like u viewed ur music and junk.LibertySaint

I installed with no problems..Played some MGS4 for about an hour after I came home from the movies..I dl'ed the update this morning b4 it got yanked..heretrix

i got it last night when i showing off the ps3 to a few friends, they were impressed (360 owners) but they didnt really get to see anything lol

Na, nothing impressive just convenient. Now being able to access the web browser and play two games at one time NOW that would be impressive.

I had no problems either. Its just bother me tha MS holds the patents for in game music, reason why Sony resorted to this method of playing custom ST. But meh, I bought the console to play games, unlike some people here that apparently bought their consoles for the dashboard or the XMB.

Pretty much the highlight of this 2.40 update is being able to check messages and send them during a game. No private chat, no cross game invites and no custom music while in game. I guess you didn't have any friends with SuperStardust trophies?

I can't wait for the next update. Hopefully it'll be better. But I'm not holding my breath.

Yep, 2.40 was to layout the foundation. Now it's up to Sony to keep adding to it.

They updated the Playstation Store in a stealth update at the same time, now it has a list menu which shows more detail, and the icons load on time now.thrones

Yeah I'v been trying to find a cool theme with sound effects that doesn't get annoying in time. I tried making my own but it didn't export everytime. I'll check out that theme later on.

It seemed fine to me. :? Just not as good as LIVE, but it's a free service. It'd be silly to expect that.

Its now using cache to load that info on the system and load the pics faster. Thats why new pics take a bit longer
