MY infamous bet..(GeOW/Zelda TP related)

I was expecting to be called a fool, we'll just have to wait and see if i really am when the scores come in by gamespot.

One of the heaviest arguments on SW these days is GeOW vs Zelda TP for GOTY. I entered one of these threads a few days ago and the thread creator, I can't recall his username, disgusted me by blindly saying how overrated GeOW is and how amazing Zelda TP is going to be and how it will completely destroy GeOW. Before I go on any further let me say that I believe that Zelda TP is in the 9 range guaranteed, and the same for GeOW. I believe that both games will be great ones that we'll all be playing for years to come, however I do NOT believe that Zelda TP's score for the Wii will surpass GeOW's score for the 360 (please hold your flames..).

I was sick of the bashing of such an obviously astounding game from the Zelda TP fans so I decided to take a stand on behalf of all GeOW fans, a stand that could cost me my privileges at the gamespot forums forever. When the thread creator created his topic he stated if GeOW surpassed Zelda TP’s score then he would leave the forums, so to make it interesting, I made the reverse bet…this is exactly what I said:

 

“ill make a deal with you buddy, if Zelda TP for the wii gets a higher
score than GeOW by gamespot I WILLL LEAVE the forums forever.”

Now I can either become the biggest (you know what) in the forums, or be known as a prophet :O … ok maybe not but I’d be on the better end of this.. ;) I still stand 100% firm in my decision, and if it came down to where Zelda TP gets a better score than GeOW I would stay true to my promise and leave the gamespot forums forever happily, which I highly doubt will happen. Do I think the person I made this bet with will keep his end of the bargain if he loses? Probably not, unless he wants to post here and say otherwise.

Da Bomb's reasoning behind his bet is that the graphics won't get a high score for the Wii and the controls won't get a 10.  Sound reasoning actually.

I made the same sort of bet with someone with Saints Row. He only had to leave for 3 months or so. Our bet was he said it Saints Row wouldn't score above a 6.9, and I said it's a guarenteed 8. So, I won the bet, and I'm not even sure if he held up to it. He never posted much to begin with (level 3 or so) but I haven't seen him back since nor do i recall his name. Oh well.SkyeCupid
