As we all know, 90% of the time when a game flops lemmings, sheep etc. always state that the game wasnt hyped AA, AAA etc. With my method all these problems will be gone.
With a game being a sequal, the hype and what is expected of it to score is dependant on what the prequal got, so for example as resistance 1 scored AA, the resistance 2 hype is automatically AA. As banjo tooie scored AAA, nuts and bolts is set at AAA. With this method, there is no changing the hype and it calls into play a franchises history.
Now in the case of a new IP, the hype is always at AA. I recently made a thread titled Should we start counting A rated games? and the majority disagreed. All new IPs that are included in peoples list of best game this year are no way being hyped less than AA. At AA it is expecting too much or too little (Just to clear the air, i am not saying A rated games are bad).
With this one universal standard itll be easier to keep everything under control and lessen the b*****n. Thanks for reading and sorry about the wall of text.
