Iv recently picked up warhawk and I must admit it has grown on me in the past week or so.

Every so often i obtain a trophy, and if you have ever listened to anyone claiming they are better than achievments , then forget it , because they are exactally the same.

A small bronze, silver or gold trophy pops up and , yeah thats it.

The leveling system is good but is no better than the accumulative points system of the xbox360.

I must say, it has made the game more fun though, but if you are a playstation only player and enjoy trophies , i have news for you

EVERY xbox360 game has has achievments and every game is made that much more fun and is given extra life.

In my opinion no ps3 game will have the innovation and creativity of the PGR4 achievments.

So if you enjoy trophies, Then get a 360 And get PGR4

I agree with you, the 360 is CONSIDERABLY better for somone who enjoys trophy collecting. I gave it a try with Uncharted, it's kind of fun but I just don't find it enjoyable anymore, I got kind of bored with achievement hunting on the 360 and still appear to be bored of that kind of activity.

Yeah i do tend to find that too, we had an achievments race at work and i spent ages getting a meerest of points, so yeah im kinda turned off of achievments at the mo.

I don't care for Trophies or Achievements unless I can actually unlock something within the game in return (like Dead Rissing and Uncharted). Do you unlock in-game stuff in Crackdown with Acievements? I like to be rewarded in my game instead of just getting points...

IMO trophies are a cooler idea. Though I congratulate MS for introducing the idea of Achievements and making it universal :).

It is kind of neat seeing the slow rollout with games with trophies , it gives people the chance to keep up with one another a little bit before they become overwhelmed ....... and most of the games so far have been good games so even if you try something you wouldn't normally play , chances are you'll play a good game. Plus you can identify easily when people get those difficult platinum trophies which is cool.

There's just way too many trophies to unlock in Warhawk...I'll never be able to achieve 100% :(...which for some odd reason irritates me.

But achievements give no satsifaction, nothing. "Get 200 headshots!" You do it -- and nothing but 20 more points to a growing number that again -- means nothing.

When you do well in Halo 3 you rank up, and that is addicting and meaningful because your rank decides (usually) who you will face.

I think if gamerscore was the currency to buy downloadalbe games, then they would be much more fun.

How does the levelling system work for trophies? Do you get 5 levels for the full 1000 trophy points in a game?

you get some "invisible" points for every trophy gained. When you get enough of those you gain a level. Point requirements increase as you level.

When I bought my 360 years ago I thought GS was used to purchase d/l games .

I think more devs should make Tropies and Achievements worth while. Like unlock in-game items and features as you unlock Tropies/Achievements. Dead Rising and Uncharted are perfect expamples of this.

never played Orange box on the 360?

crazy amount of achievements. (I believe 100)

I have to see someone with 1000/1000 gamer score on that game.

Achievments, Trophies, bothare generally useless. Only time they would interest me is if I get something for them like the Skill Points that Insomniac has in their games.

I don't care for achievements or trophies. Especially achievements are wayy overrated. After you get 2k+ gamerscore it didn't feel special anymore.

And trophies aren't being supported enough.

While I haven't played too many games on the 360, and none with trophies for Ps3, I find that some achievements are fun to try and get. I agree that most don't give me much satisfaction; I still like unlocking them, but don't go far out of my way to get them unless I find them very interesting.

I also agree with other comments made about actually having the achievements be useful. I know in Mass Effect that unlocking some of the achievements will give bonuses for subsequent play-throughs, making it worth my time to try and get them.

I do like the idea of making gamerscore be currency in the marketplace, and, like someone else, had thought it was at one point.

I don't care about them. The only achievments I ever went for were the sklill points in R&C because they unlocked cool things but if it's just a number to show people I don't care.

Its a major selling point for most people. I have a friend on my friend list who seems to have only bought trophy supported games recently, and on the PS forums in every game thread someone has a thread asking if the game will have trophies. Its a little annoying that people get so addicted to him, but its a nice feature i guess.

I read somewhere that the achievements will be used to unlock special items for avatars when they get the new dashboard update.
