My thoughts on uncharted 2.... im in no hurry on getting this game

Heres why.

Today my friend and i went to get his pre-ordered uncharted 2 as i went to buy a couple of ps3 platinum games.
We went back to his place and played through a fine 5 hours of uncharted 2. The beginning snow level looked beautiful, but the jungle bit looks a tiny improvement from the first one, the city however does looks very eye candy. the animation is smooth, but we've already spotted a few glitches but what game does not have glitches right?
Uncharted 2 graphics is spectacular dont get me wrong. but im just not into artistic graphics games (excluding JRPG's supposingly because they are ment to look anime-ish). Im more into realism graphics, and thats just my personal taste.

After playing and seeing the game, im in no hurry on getting this game. Most likely because i dont really like linear 3rd person shooters. it feels like gears of war because of the whole run cover shoot run cover shoot, which i thought it was a very boring game and i hated it (sorry to geow fans). I do however like the platforming in uncharted 2 which i thought adds lots of fun factor.

If you're one of those gamers that uses Crysis as a yardstick for measuring the true worth of a game then I feel very sorry for you, as you will probably never get over that graphical grudge Crysis worshippers seem to have.

I don't know maybe COD:MW 2 is GOTY. ;)

You know, I thought that....but one visit to METACRITIC showed me just how well receieved Uncharted 2 really is. It's pretty amazing, it's up there with Super Mario Galaxy, and it passed MGS4!:shock:

It's truly outstanding, and it's insane. Not even XBOX's Famous MAJOR NELSON told everyone he was going to buy MGS4, like the Major did for Uncharted 2.

Outside of SW, the critics and consumers hype of Uncharted 2 is off the chain.

I see no reason to rush to get it either. You could always play your friend's copy.

I rushed to get it...but it was sold out...ahhhhh!

Yea the multiplayer is fun, but nothing that will get me hooked, Thats where MW2 steps in ;)

You know, there would have atleast been a discussion if you actually played and review the whole game. The ones that bash it never beat it or play it.

if so, i wasnt bashing uncharted 2? where did i say it was a bad or **** game? I thought it was good, but not good enough to keep me entertained. I played it for 5 hours straight and then i started to get bored so i popped in nfs shift and never really got the urge to play uncharted 2 some more
i have nothing against the game. and also 99% of my games i have not completed and still thought some were the best game ive ever played.
